ursula 0 Posted December 12, 2007 This is a view of Teck-Cominco Trail (BC, Canada) operations, from the other side of the Columbia river. Does it work? Link to comment
shayne1 0 Posted December 12, 2007 Is that a trick question? imho this works very well. Black and white works well and the industrial building in the BG is very intriguing. I really like the shot overall. :) Link to comment

darius.tulbure 0 Posted December 12, 2007 I also think this works very well. The composition is correct and the harsh light adds atmosphere. Link to comment
david brown 0 Posted December 12, 2007 I would say that this is a very strong environmental image, so in that respect it more than works. Black and white helps portray that feeling very well as darkness and gloom should be felt, just look at the receeding landscape behind the smelter. BC and heavy industry should never be used in the same sentence. Regards David Link to comment
cathy hennessy 0 Posted December 12, 2007 As much as I wished to ignore your image, I could not. It frustrates and annoys, which is exactly what it should do. I too try so hard to focus on saving this planet, but often feel like the water running away in your shot. Link to comment
sweeney 0 Posted December 12, 2007 Well composed. Good tonal range and lighting. I think this works well. Link to comment
giuseppe_pasquali 0 Posted December 12, 2007 A really interesting photo: a classical b/w with strong main lines and very different textures. Thank you. G. Link to comment

joshschutz 0 Posted December 14, 2007 I really dig this shot, But I would really like to see the rest of the building. I think that a square format would be very pleasing also. Cheers Link to comment
