    Man with a Chair

Man amidst a medley of right angles.
  2. Apparently, he has noticed some news on the newspaper while doing something trivial. He has paused for an instant, unaware that a fan and Mr. McRitchie were on the watch... Far too many words already to describe what is essentially a photographical haiku.
  3. Her eyes! Her arm leading to her eyes... The V on her chest. Other V's on her both sides... The tilt. The emotionless background... You have recorded a sacred moment and the text reads "I'm not one of them!"
  4. For me, the little sign at upper left reads: "No more fantasies from this point onward!"

    The Neophyte

Boris, thank you very much for your comment. That was exactly how I felt why shooting this one...
  6. Just loved this one! You have even managed to add some rainbow with a fitting color. That is, grey!

    Untitled

I have tried a square crop from above and I believe it added to the mystery...

    Sideways

Quite a strong statement on the necessity of art in our life. This is something I had realized rather late... I hope it is not too late.

  10. Oh! Studio lighting on the street! What's next, Steve?
  11. A custom designed frame for your portrait.   >Jack's Back and he's got a front too... Oh! How I loved this comment!

Your portrait is inspiring. Your model's contribution to its success must be stressed...

  14. A multilayered image, in every sense :)

    M

A "real" portrait. Also unusual, as I do not remember seeing color images from you... Shooting from such a low angle makes me feel like I should ... respect her. I should leave myself into her hands. She is competent, responsible, caring and ... loving. At the risk of over reading this portrait, I must also add that I just feel a hint of ambivalence in her look. It is as if she is trying to hide something, or supress a feeling... I can talk/write more and I can do that easily. Yet I must stop. Because I will be writing more about myself; rather than on your portrait or your model... I am sure I will always remember this image as a perfect portrait in every sense I value.

    Table and Chairs

A very poor product shot! AND a beautiful, allegorical representation of the need for human conversation. Almost like an invitation. I would like to sit on one of the chairs and chat with you, Jack.
  17. I can feel the same as Wouter... Perhaps part of the feeling stems from the ... sword!

    Brothers

Tones, composition and almost all the rest aside... What I liked immensely here is the perfect summary of a defining attitude of childhood. There are things children do just for fun. Seemingly purposeless... Seemingly a waste of resources... We adults, do things for a definite purpose most of the time; expecting immediate reward after the completion. Even though we know the saying "it is the journey not the destination", it is rarely "the journey" for us. Perhaps that is why our adult friend pictured here looks confused :)
  19. Dear Jack, I am surprised to see that you have become "certain age" with your vision nothing short of perfect. Anyway, a person of your age should be well aware of the right lower corner of the image which practically functions as the F* word for the remaining composition. How improper! A happier, snappier new age, by the way :)
  20. They are getting married only to be photographed! And the star of the show is at the center; the official photographer of the event :)
  21. The world seems to be a playground waiting patiently for you to come and frame it. Strangely though, they are invisible before you see them and they disappear after you frame them.

    Bento Box

That box seems to disregard the hub and the spokes of the wheel. Somehow it prefers a different spin...

    Age Ten

Such a beautiful girl... As anticipated, I must say. I did not read the earlier comments but I will not be surprised to see others recognizing her earlier times... And the light, the flare, the look... I wish her a future full of love.
