  1. Jack, Drew, Thank you for commenting on this one. This boy has spent more than an hour by the stream, fishing alone, calmly... Just watching him was like a meditation. I am really pleased that he looks just like I saw him.
  2. Carlos and Drew, Thank you for sharing my enjoyment.

    Is It Travel Time Yet?

Thank you Jack. > I hope this picture accurately expresses your current state of mind. Yes! It has really elevated my mood. That little thing! It still makes me smile and helps me remind myself that I just happen to feel down too easily and I miss these little, pleasant surprises sprinkled here and there.

  5. A masterfully organized chaos. And it reads like a thriller!

    Leaves on The Trail

I want to be lost within your image. Thanks, Tim.
  7. Jack, HAL is watching you!
  8. It reminds me of something I am sure I haven't lived! ... Perhaps it has something to do with that apple!
  9. Layers upon layers... full of humans in a confined space. City life, as usual. And we huddle only to remain comfortably alone...
  10. This is one of the few, very few photographs that make me speechless. Steve's to the point and tasteful comment was underneath when I had noted this image. I can perhaps add that I feel this image antedates photography. Its photographer may not be Mr H., by the way. That must be an anonymous photographer made of all our shared memories, fantasies and experiences since the time of Adam&Eve.
  11. This image underlines, once again, your ability to make the title of a photograph as part of the overall experience of looking at it. It is a component of the amalgam, not a tag. For mortals, this is a very difficult task since a title may as well ruin the experience. Here, I somehow feel that I might have seen Siddharta and the distraction on my own even if there were no title. And, part of me is saying: Kidding?
  12. As Carlos has said "a most compelling multi-layered frame". Young woman's dark eyes looking at us almost charmingly... The central dark figure trying to help the sitting one in some measure... Two "natives" glancing at the outsiders (?) / newcomers (?) / strangers (?)... And the photographer; recording faithfully... for us to contemplate.
  13. I shouldn't have read the comments before writing my own. Pity! All has already been said by better writers.
  14. I can not believe that I had missed this gem until today! Reminds me some images by Wynn Bullock. It invites my mind to a short tour to discover interstellar cornfields..

    Parked Bicycle

I am attracted more to the perfectly fitting colors than the lines & shapes. Somehow this combination (essentially of colors) makes me feel calmer, safer and even stronger. Being part of a much larger whole... And that branch functions as a clue...
  16. Welcome back, Pnina! Nice to see you submitting a photo... ... I especially liked the photographer's silhouette at lower left.

It has been more than a month now... The tab of my browser is still open and I am looking at this portrait  every day. Every day. ...
  19. Thank you very much for commenting. Carlos, You almost knew! I stopped the car and got out. I might have walked a hundred yards for a different feel but we were in a hurry... Amy, I am happy that you liked this... Not surprisingly, if I stop the car for shooting something, that turns out to be something worth looking at when printed. There were some friends suggesting a crop from above. I feel like leaving the picture as is would be better. It perhaps helps isolate the plant more.

    Trash & Mail

I am too late to comment as all I was thinking of has already been said. Never too late to look at this gem again, though!
