1. This is probably the very first time that I find selective color adorable...
2. I agree with Carlos ;) (Just wonder how have I missed this one for this long!)
3. Jack, You seem to be living in a (parallel?) universe that is made up of images. That's why you see images wherever you happen to look at. This one, sounds a like tune I want to dance to.

Sunday with Mine 2

Your recent images, including this autoportrait with three models, makes me feel like a member of a much larger family. With added warmth as a bonus.
5. Apparently, the tree had been there waiting to be photographed by you. He might well have been a proctologist in his earlier life, by the way.
6.
Even though today's sensors are a lot better than the earlier ones, they are still a source of noise (as electronic devices). So; everything equal (they are hardly ever!), I expect more noise with longer exposures. Not sure about noise itself but noise removal techniques can decrease resolution.

7.
I believe KEH does.

8. No surprises here, really; everybody knows that Ra is (still) everywhere! And, he looks awesome!
9. I see five frames! And I wonder if I miss any.
10. ... and the year! Are you sure it wasn't 1916?

I feel a sense of strength. An outplaced and unsafe one; in a chaotic, dynamic, toppled down world with its set of peaks and traps. Irritating, somehow... Perhaps because it makes me feel helpless for a mysterious reason.

Samson Revisited

Reminds me of Jack London's White Fang... Strangely inviting... for whatever reason. Have a nice year, my friend.
16. Nice to see you, Jack! Have a beautiful year.

Trampled, 2006

I feel that "Trampled Rose" by Tom Waits may fit nicely here...

Dear Carlos, I may be late to the party but I must still tell you how I enjoy looking at your images. This one pulls a troubled chord that keeps me aware of a strange need for a strong belief... And I am not sure what I am after... I wish you a better year with your beautifully growing family!
19. Dear Jack, Thank you for continuing to be here and for submitting images like this. I've looked at this images a couple of times during the day.. and at night. Without actually trying to understand (or, categorize) it. The good thing is that I found myself looking at it just to to see it again. I should perhaps mention the upward arrow at lower left as a funnily important part of the image. My thoughts wandered... Who were the owners of the hats? Youngsters or not? Or, whether the hats belonged to the same person... Is this within a house or a public place? Was the picture drawn in a previous century... by whom... to say what... And, I was not really interested in finding the answers. I was happy asking the questions. Really enjoying my time. The comments were the bonus! Read them twice! Perhaps I should also re-read Cioran's book again soon; if life seems this much enjoyable something must have gone really, really wrong with my interpretative apparatus. I hope you continue doing your magic.

This is for my fingertips... so tactile!
22. Jack, Thank you for your comment. And, I don't know how to express my reaction to it! I think I will send a message! Henry, I am really pleased that you shared my enthusiasm with this image. It has, in fact, become one of my favorites instantly!
23. Thank you, Carlos. And, "cheers"!
