Did you try to shift the camera a bit to the left to let sun lights through the ice?

Beautiful shot and location. But I guess the gradient filter was overused: the botom of the foreground is too light.

I have some pictures of those trees taken on the same morning. What you see in "Alouette" folder is taken around two-three hundreds meters around Haris Road crosses the river. Yes, this is Alouette River in Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows in BC

This is indeed a beatiful moment and a great picture. The lovely and smooth colors of the sky and vivid colors of the autumn trees. I'm wondering how it could be if you included the reflection of the sun in the frame?

Yes I darkened the sky slightly using gradual filter in Lightroom to make more contrast change. But where from the spot do not know.  I will correct it some day. Thanks again for spotting the spot!
