This photo uses elements from my previous photos, shot at many different locations. The details tab will show you the locations and gives credit where it belongs.

  2. Joao, thanks for kind words. Gail, this was an epic storm that has not been surpassed in last two years. Many lucky things have to fall in place for this type of photo. Along with interesting cloud formations, it has to be a clear day to get distant shots. Mist or rain reduces visibility, which is what we mostly get in stormy conditions. Now a days when I hear about a storm, I recharge the camera batteries, just in case...

    Best wishes... Sandeep

    Krypton Garden

Before its destruction Krypton was a beautiful planet. It had huge

crystal structures and landscapes that simply don't exist in other

worlds. As a child, he used to play in this garden...

  3. Photographed in Toronto during August 21, 2011 storm, these

clouds looked vicious. There were tornado touch downs in city

outskirts. Rain and lightening strikes hit the city for about three

hours. There was one fatality. This is 70mm shot from distance of

    about 5km.

The buildings are downtown high rises but they look puny compared

to the monster clouds. See the other photo also in the same folder.

    Comments and rating welcome.

Wonderful story telling through photo! Everything looks perfect, no need to change or crop. Specially like her expressionless partial face.

  4. Desperate attempt by Goldfish to fight for her life. This is daytime

photo with shutter speed of 1/20 seconds and still it could not freeze

the motion of Goldfish. I have many more shots of same time, all

show the eye of fish sharp but the tail swinging desperately. The

heron was giving her sharp jerks but the fish would not stop fighting.

I was a bit disappointed that time, the photo is not pin sharp. Later on

I realized, the photo captures nature's food chain at its peak. Hungry

predator and prey's desperate struggle for freedom ...
