In short yes, when I asked they said yes but would not make any promises. Kirk did however promise a good fit.
Ross

I have heard good things about the Zeiss ZE 21mm over at the Fred Miranda site

I wish we could get something in the middle, I like my 21mp a lot, but wish for better high iso, being able to do fine art prints at 24 x 36 is great. The roof at 24mp ? I think not and the 7D shows that, at full frame the 7D would be 32mp, I do wish Canon would slow down the MP race however, but I also see a lot of Nikon people wanting what the 5D2 offers.

Any lens in your bag can be used as a landscape lens, if you use it the right way, I use the 16-35 II, 24-105 f4, 70-200 f4, 300 f4, all on a tripod with MLU and a remote, it depends on what landscape you are shooting.

I went 40D to 5D to 5D2 and it is a huge improvement in IQ and I see differences in prints over 12 x 18 (I print a lot), 7D I dont know, but if your after best possible IQ, 5DMkII.

Good luck, to find one company that does it all and good quality at a price affordable to resell. Maybe its time to think about a printer.

I use a CPL on my 16-35, but a lot less than with other lenses due to uneven polarization, to me it was still worth getting the CPL, I recommend the B + W top end thin KCPL. I use the GND's most of the time but if I am in a situation where there is not a lot or no sky I will use the CPL.

Its a little sharper and of course faster, but less versatile than a zoom and you can get good shots, but your on the end of a zoom lens, so a prime will win.

I dont think you can get a 4 tb none raid, 2 for sure, I use Lacie with my Mac, never had a problem, used them on PC as well, but the G-tech looks pretty good also.

ef lenses will work on EOS digital cameras, you should be fine, they will have a different field of view, multiply focal length x 1.6crop so 100mm lens will have feild of view of 160mm lens

I wanted the 7D to be a very good camera to go with my 5D2, I believe Canon could have done this, but chose not to

I really haven't got a clue what that's supposed to mean - by what possible measure can the 7D be described as anything other than excellent? It is clearly and without question the best APS-C camera available today.
And that's not emotion speaking - it's an objective reaction to the evidence.

It means they could have done better but chose not to, think about it, they cant make there APS-C camera better in IQ than the 1Dmk4 or the 5Dmk2 for that matter, that would kill sales, its part of buisness. So I choose not to buy the 7D, I didn't say it was a bad camera, but I want IQ that is very close to my 5D2 and I have not seen that from the 7D, so maybe a used 1D3 will be in my future.

One thing, is the 7D has got emotions going on both sides, its had good reviews and not so good, looks like some sample variation going on. I do believe that Canon have so many DSLR's now that they are having trouble keeping the lower end cameras from being as good at IQ as the top end cameras, and by adding more MP or a stronger filter, may be there way of avoiding this, just speculation of course. I wanted the 7D to be a very good camera to go with my 5D2, I believe Canon could have done this, but chose not to, they want me to buy a 1D4, well thats not going to happen (dont have that kind of cash) so I will have to explore other options. I am not trying to bash Canon, they are after all, a big company that must show profits to the share holders.

24mm T/S lens, the tilt shift lenes or DxO software will fix this type of problem.

I currently have 2 20's and am tiered of the split screen and not enough height for portrait shots, thats why I'm looking at the 30. Ross

-

Well the EF 70-200mm f/4L IS, is a very sharp lens, but if you are leaning to portrait work you need faster lenses like say, ef 85 1.8 of ef 200 2.8 if you want to go long, look at the 300f4 IS L, dont use teleconverters on any of the lenses you mentioned, you wont be happy.
