1) where do u get delta 50? should it be delta 100? 2) Silver is different from dye. I guess you will be scanning so I am not to sure about the final difference, it may really depends on your scanner.. But I would get the b/w film for sure.

Well, I wish I was drunk. Sorry for the "question". Anyway, the reason I ask is that I used plastic tanks now I am switching to stainless steel tanks. I notice the same thing that there is more than 1/2 oz solution left in the tank that I cannot get it out. So I guess this half oz from stop bath is going to dilute the fixer. And after a few times developing you know it can add up pretty significently. Do you agree with me?

Have u guess have the same experience or just me not doing it
correctly. everytime I pour soup from the tank I got like 1/2 oz left
in the tank. Is there a way to drip it out completely??? Thanks.

Thanks. How do you rate it? 320? 200?

Have anyone used this film? Can it be developed in D76(1:1)? From
their website there is not data for D76(1:1). Is it because this is
an old fashion emulsion? Thanks.

D76 (1+1) for HP5
ddx (1+4) for delta 100,
is it ok?

can u roll two rolls of 120 on to one plastic reel and develop in the
same tank at the same time, with the same amount of soup? will there
be enough soup for 2? i have a small tank and I am tired to develop
films one by one. thanks.

Hi, Can Contax G lenses be used on Bessa R series cameras? Thanks.

I like apx100. I have used only in 35mm format. I used FP4+ and I didn't find it was unique. FP4 is good in any senses but, it has not delivered the taste I want. I was able to get a bulk roll of 35mm before bh ran out of their stock. I regret that I have never tried apx120. I have been using delta100 for 120 format and so far no complain. So i am very interested to hear some opinions of the substitution of apx 120. I hope same thing happened to ilford can happen to agfa. is it possible that there can be a management buy out? Or some smaller film maker can take over this portion of agfa. this film cannot die. The varity of the charistics from different kind films is one of the core attractions of photography in terms of visual art. At least I believe it.

Ok, thinking of getting a real rangefinder. i have a G1. Do you guys
think it would be wise to spend money on an bessa R or R2a/r3a? Thanks.

I was reading this online. The Voigtlander Nokton has a single coated
version for B/w photography. Why is the single coated so special for
b/w pictures? Multi-coated is no good? what if I add multi-coated
filters then. I am confused. help me please. thanks.

Hi,
Anywhere to download a standard model release form?? My local store
only has cards and I need it quite urgent and both b&h and adorama
are in holidays. Thanks.

Besides. I send my exhaused fixer to the darkroom I go to. They have a large volume fixers. Strangely, before I thought ritz would accept the fixer but their new manager refused me.

Hi dudes, I wasn't being 'cheap' to recover the silver. I was being 'cheap' not buying a real tray instead I was using a aluminum tray from the grocery store. Next time I will try the tupperware. j/k. Thanks for the answers.

I read about here saying that you can pre-process the exhausted fixer
by putting some steel wool in it so the silver will come out. Does
that also cause some odor?? Will it happen with aluminum? I was
trying to use a aluminum tray to contain the fixer and it totally
ruined my fixer (fixer goes darker and some black stuff came out and
it smells). Any idea???? Thanks.

Sorry it may have sound boring to someone. Let me refine my original question... film - print the film from the negatives (no scan, no ps) vs. dslr + PS + digital prints. I am not able to find that comparasion in google. :) Thanks again.

Hi,

I know this topic always starts debates, but believe me this is not my
intension here. I usually do b/w and I have my strong reasons to
stick on b/w film rather than try digital for a while. Now i am
trying to do some color work and I found the scanning process is pain.
(i have posted a few questions regarding scanning). The very idea of
me scanning the film was actually to do some color correction and so
on myself and finally goes to a lab for digital prints. Some labs do
develop the film and scan them on the CD for the customers as well, I
guess for the same reason, and putting images on the web or email,
etc.

Now this puzzles me. Lets put the cost aside, what is the advantage of
doing color film vesus doing color entirely digitally. I went to the
websites of Kodak and fujifilm and read their documents and samples of
their most elite films. they are Definitely wounderful. Can ditigal
do the same??

I don't know someone here who still does film can give me an answer.
Thanks.

Great idea!!! I was thinking of that too.

I send two rolls of E100VS to different lab for the E-6 process. One
roll came out noticable blue shift for the entire roll, with differnt
lighting conditions. Another roll came out nicely. I think E-6 is
sandard process and shouldn't make such difference right? Now I am
wondering if there are difference among different c-41 processes. I
heard if some lab don't change their chemical as they suppose to, it
can really screw things up. is it true? Beside the color, will it
also affect the grain and so on? Thanks.

I think by handling the form to your subject will only cause more cautious on his/her side. I mean come on, by just reading the form you can see all the possible use such as selling, publishing and so on (even we know we are not going to in most cases). Certainly you are tipping them off and they might get really serious with you. Besides it's silly to pack a pile of forms and get everyone on the street to sign on them. On the other hand if you don't have them singed, in todays world, esp there are so many lawyers in this country, I am very sure even HCB would be sued after ppl find out his fame.

Friendly time no more. Maybe travel to other countries is safer. I don't know if I take a picture with someone's building in it is going to be a problem or not in the near future.
-
Hi, Thanks for the reply. I don't understand I enlarged this picture to 8x12 in the local lab and I don't see any grain. The scanners have higher resolution?

Hi,

I am trying to scan some color film. I was using kodak royal 200 and
other film. I notice the sky always has some "noise", instead of
being pure and clear, transparent.

Is this because of film or the scanner (i have a canon 8400f). Is
there anyway to fix it in PS?

thanks.

Just feel that girl takes more of my attention. I would have taken one more shot with the girl in focus and throw the rest out of the fucos. So the picture would be more moody to me. Well it's personal taste. Really there is no reason.
Bessa R speed dial
in Leica and Rangefinders
Posted
I just got the R and trying to get used to it. Do have a question
though, shutter speed dial goes around circle, right? I mean, it
doesnt stop at 1/2000 seconds. If you keep dialing further it will
go back to B and 1 and so on. It rotates. Is it normal? Other
cameras I used stops at the end instead goes to the beginning again
so I would know I hit the wall. Thanks.
