I tried Lucky SHD400 120 despite all the criticisms i saw at pnet about it.
TBH, its a real pain to load onto spools and dries curly. However, it has really
nice grain structure that i like and the higlights and diffused but not overly so.
Maybe QC has improved as i haven't seen any of the pinholes and scratches on the
emulsion that have ben reported so far.
Anybody have any tips on loading this film as i destroyed 1 spool in a fit of rage?<div></div>

Cheers Kristopher. Those are a little crude but i'm sure effective. I may create something like that but mounted to the underneath out of sight.
So, what the hell is that little slot for? Draining the ink well pads?

Hi
I have bought a R1800 for the Photographical Society that im the President of
and intend on leaving it in our darkroom.
One issue i have realised is security. You can't get the key for the darkroom
unless you're a member but i'd much prefer the printer to be locked down.
Without going all out on a steel cage around the printer, is there a way to lock
the R1800 with a lock already on the market? I have found a possible point on
the printer but have no idea what it's for. The image makes it much clearer

Well after some research into similarly priced printers i have found that this printer is more suited to business-like documents.
I attach my findings as info is hard to find on this printer

That happened to me after a few months from buying the kit D70. It would jam coming back from 70 mm at ~28mm and then clunk to 18mm when forced.
However, it soon dissapeared(i probalby ground in a little bit of dirt into the plastic) and functions fine now after a 1.5 years

I thought Vuescan has no setup file.
Its just an .exe file that requires no previous installation or is this with the new version?

I too would recommend PTAssembler.
It is not easy to start off with but once you figure out what everything means/does its quite an advanced and fast bit of software.

I have one, its not on P.net but in my own space on fotopic.
Its most of the pictures i took last year whilst with the Exeter University climbing club. No indoor stuff as it doesnt look good in pics and not my cuppa

I knew somebody would say that the F65 isn't good enough.
Steve- Yes you can change the ISO. Just use the EV settings. +/-2 stops from what the film is set at. If you need more than that then you need a different film.
Check my webpage. All bw shots are with the F65 and with bulk loaded film (the camera ISO setting is taped at 400 and use EV setting for 100-1600)

I'd go with what Doug just said. Dust, although causes this problem, does not cause such a severe problem in your second sample.

"After about 12 months, my laptop batteries just died"
Li-ion batteries do not like heat as their usefulness decreases. My guess the enel3 should last a lot longer, as long as you don't get them hot. I'm not sure but is it recommended to keep them fully-charged wherever possible?

Im with Bob Michaels. I either use bw negs or colour slide. I tried making contact sheets with a flatbed but found it annoyingly tedious. Anyway, i always make real contact prints with my bw negs.

Have you been using high-pass sharpening? The edges look weird.

Im with you on that one Jim.
It's always best to stand up for what you think is right, until you look like a tit.

This pretty depressing. I bulk load 400 and 1600. Looks like im going to have to hoard a few hundred foot of the stuff.

I have been waiting for this for a long time. Its good (layout, workflow) but as the previous poster said, its slow. I have to wait for each raw image to be fully rendered and my computer aint no slouch.
-
As the other guy said, the shoddy engraving gives it away. A fake
-
Umm, this is an odd one. Maybe you should give a reason for why you would want somebody to give you the "RAW" unedited image that they have scanned.

Ooops, sorry guys. I was partially referring to another thread about NX but i should have read the whole post here.
Don't know what all the fuss is about?

Hi Gene. I developed it in ID11 stock.
I'm not sure if i'm right but Fotospeed rapid fixer is non-hardening. It could be that the film has a thicker emulsion than most
