Ah, cant. im at uni and the camera is at my parents house. Im goin back on friday so ill get the info then.

Thanks everybody for your help. The shutter is fine, its just that i cannot turn the dial so that i can use the B or T modes, its jammed. I dont think it takes 120 as i have tried before (was a long time ago).
Mike Covacs, the pics would be much appreciated.
This camera does have a plate thing at the back but looks so hard to use. Ive taken the plate out before and was such an arse to use.
Does anybody reckon theres a way to mod the spools of 120 so that it could fit? If not, i shall try to fig a way out and post the results but i cant promise anything.
The shutter seems to be in good nick but how much would it cost to get the B and T mode dial thingamebob fixed?<div></div>

Ive got this camera available to me. I need to know what film it uses
and a rough estimation on getting mould removed from lens and fix the
shutter so that T+B modes can be used.
Any help would be gratefully recieved

are you sure you have changed the setting in Epson Scan to use transparency items?
-
OMG! Could somebody please delete my old account. That pic is embarrising (i didnt take it). LOL please!
-
are you using epson scan, you cannot use the microsoft scanner software. have you set it to transparency setting in epson scan, if you have you should see an option to select negative
-
Look at the lid. If you see a white thing the size of A4, remove it. behind it you will see a light, you need this for a scan to come out.
-
Have you noticed that scan times are significantly shorter when you scan transparencies when compared to negs. However, 5mins seems quite long tho. I use multipass with my 4180 (using silverfast) at 1200 and takes about the same amount of time.

October 2004. Eh? ive been signed up since 2003. I know this for sure cus i used to go here instead of doin my IT work back at my old College. Hmm

After reading all your comments, i have come to realise what a fool i am. I think why i posted this in the first place was mainly due to my frustration in not being able to find what i was looking for. Thanks to Bob Atkins i have opened a new and unexplored door. In summary, i think this site is great better in content than other sites and great resource. Of course it could do with improvements but then nothing is perfect (cliche i know). Cheers all for your reply and you have all convinced me, well done! :)

omg! i dont believe i've missed that. Years of being here and never seen it. Always expected to see a box with search/go next to it. Cheers for that 1.
-
Ah ok Bob,dont get me wrong i like this site, thats why im here, just maybe a search facility.
By the way your reply made me laugh because its so true

ok, i think this has gone the wrong way. What im talking about is the inability of PN not being able to support pics edited in PS7 and the inability to track your comments from 1 page. Yes, you are all correct about the overcrowding but that is on the 1st page not individual image pages. Also you are correct on the constant use of profanities but this is not what i am talking about. Its the lack of file compatibilty, old photo reviews or lessons (maybe an update because a lot of the things talked about do not exist anymore or are obsolete. Also, i dont understand the chat room session comment, thats probably because i have never used it so sorry about that one.
Yep, im most definetly a minority in this case-the story of my life.

yeah, you're right about the homepage, its a real crowded mess. What im after is a better user workspace, DA's is very clear and shows whats recent and leaves places for comments in a convenient place. However i think DA has been going around 4/5 years and its pretty stable. To make that site the best they really have to put in some moderators and a rating scheme because there is just way too much hapless attempts at photography (around 75%)
Popups, i have had no problems from there, at least not yet maybe.
Oh well, looks like im on my own then
-
ok, this just happened to me. Submitting a pic to critique forum and randomly cancels half way through. eh?
-
i dont think its bad, i think it just needs a few things sorted i.e PS7 edited jpgs, comments not being added quickly (I sent 1 a while back here and still hasnt appeared. Old reviews or lessons are another thing that (i feel) needs sorting. But is anybody a member of DA, if so you will know what im talking about. One last thing how old is this webpage design? if any1 knows that is
-
I dont know about you but does this site seem outdated. There never
seems to be anything new in the way of reviews. Also, the layout and
messaging system is awkward to use (easy way of monitoring your
workspace). Ive just joined DeviantArt http://regomodo.deviantart.com/
and the page design is most definetly better but the standard of
images is a lot better here than there.
So, anybody with me on this one?
Does anybody know what this is?

Cheers Mike. If i remember correctly 120 was too small. That link you gave me was helpful and almost completely describes it, except for the oading mechanism they talk about. The 1 ive got does do that. The back comes of, not even hinged.
