I like the contrast between the trees in the front and the smooth gray tones in the back. Very nice.

Interesting photo. I like all the white space. I agree with previous comment about moving the subject slightly off-center. I think that would make it stronger.

I like the photo, the action going on. My only concern is that the players are so in the center of the image. My suggestion would be to crop the image at the right and the bottom. Nice moment though! I bet you went through quite a bit of images to get that photo.

Nice shot. I took a photo from probably the exact same location (Treasure Island?) a few month ago. Still need to add it to the portfolio. The lines and shapes from that angle produce by far my favourite bridge photos.... I like that you left it in color, too.

Taken early in the morning of Bay Bridge in San Francisco. Comments

I like this one by far the best of all the vertical ones. The arrow has a great narrative. What do the Chinese characters mean, though? Just curious whether I am missing out on a hidden meaning :)

Wow. I really like the light effects in the water. It looks surreal and the glas is a nice touch. How did you shot it, if I may ask? All natural light?

Great shot! What an expression. And the depth of field works well.

I am surprised to see this image between your awesome shots. There are bunch of things that bother me in this image, like the center of the subjects, the line going through the box and the neck of the right girl. Considering how excellently composed all your other images are I wonder whether this is on purpose. Is it? I am attaching my proposed crop... I am curious to hear why you picked this photo, some story behind it?

I like the color contrast between the red / orange of the cafe and the blue of the side street. But in my opinion it lacks the spark, a center of attention. There is nothing that attrackts my eye, it just restlessly keeps wandering over the image. How perfect would it be if there was a person looking out through one of the windows at the top? Oh well, it was not meant to be. But nice shot.

Yeah, (recent) San Francisconian. Moved out here in 2004. Don't want to be anywhere else, even though I did like Seattle when I visited, especially the mountains....
-
Wait, are you a San Francisconian? Or was this on a visit???

Only in large does it give this photo credit. Very cool.

Alexander, about alternative angles: I have to say this is probably really hard to do in this setting, with other cars around and overcast light.
One main suggestion is maybe going lower, kneeling down or even lying on the floor. Your current view point is the way every person sees the world: 1.5-2m above the ground. You have to show the viewer something new :)
Another idea is to get closer and take a photo of a particular part of the car, like the cool metalic wheels or the front or maybe from the inside. I often do this, so I am a big fan of it :) I'm posting a few links to my own photos of car "components" below. That is just to get your creative juices going!
Good luck!

Wow, all the details in the trees contrast well with the smoothness of the waterfall. Good job. And the b/w is a great choice.

This would make a nice fine arts print in black and white!

Nice shot. I'd do some contrast and saturation work and it would improve the photo so dramatically! The reds should be really red and the blacks black...

It's a niiiice car, that's for sure. The photo is not very exciting though. Maybe a different angle next time? (I'd give the car a 7/7, but unfortunatelly we are supposed to rate the photo...)

Well seen. And I like how everything is almost monochromatic. I would crop left or right a little, so the legs wouldn't be so dead center. But well seen....

I wish you had gone in closer. I get the point, but the image is just not powerful enough. I think b/w might also add...
