  1. short flange and large throat diameter allow the use of nearly all lenses via adapter,
  2. I didnt like this 55, it rendered somewhat harsh, I loved the 65, IMO the 50 on the RB may be similar to a 40 or 38 on 6X6
  3. helps a lot to avoid pics of car roofs^^
  4. I did this with permanently elastic sealing compound from car suppliers
  5. reported the dedicated lightmeter for low light was the Gossen Luna-Pro, I allways used Asahi Pentax spotmeters, the newer work with modern batteries.
  6. Is it just me to see a difference here?

    Stolen D800?

what incidence you are talking about? Someone wants to sell a cam?
  8. lucky man long time Sigma user here, Sigma bodies are alltogether at least questionable, the only good thing was the Foveon sensor till Merrill, even good photographers used the DP Merrills, the sensor together with the very, very good fixed lenses brought astonishing results, but with Quattro sensor the magic was gone and nobody uses it. Bringing the new body with a FF Merrill sensor would mean that Quattro alltogether was an error, I doubt Sigma is that great. So it will be a Quattro, and nobody waits for it, so why you will. And it will not be cheap, Sigma likes to blame, remember the SD1.

    Stolen D800?

IMO cameras are stolen from a bag, so if there shows a pure cam for sale be carefull, if its in the original package including all the stuff like cables. akku loader, manual etc. I think ists not stolen.^^
  10. RTS II with 45/2.8 for sure is more practical than medium format cameras, hand-held or not^^
  11. maybe a little late for a question, but shooting to paper brings mirrowed pics?
  12. reliability?^^ in my experience the newer cams with more electronics inside were maybe problematic, but a simple one like the RTS II didn`t make a lot of problems, you can compare it to Nikon F3, where the F3 has a slightly more stable body; but the RTS II is just a charming cam. All Zeiss T lenses show beside sharpness a very nice and saturated color rendering, today shooting digital this color thing is adjustable in the post, on a slide it matters a lot. 28mm is very nice, 35mm is nice, but 45mm is just outstandig, its very small and what I remember a Tessar type and sharp as hell, together with an also small RTS II a very small, elegant and performent combo.^^
  13. for me the 55 was a little harsh, the 65 rendered nicier^^ I sold all my RB and C330 stuff some years ago, just kept one C330s with 65 and 180
  14. my experience with such SD card, slow and takes a lot of akkupower
  15. IMO the most important thing with Mamiya TLRs is the design of the WLF, the one shown on orsetto`s pics is the fully enclosed new design, the older not fully enclosed reflect your face when used in bright light, (C220 old, C220f maybe old or new, C330 old, C330f maybe old or new, C330s new) and dont use such a baby with prismn finder, a 6x6 prisma is a hefty piece of glass and makes the cam unbalenced
  16. IMO this grip is very uncomfortable used together with the WLF, Mamiya made a turnable grip too.
  17. I shot a lot 5x7 slides and scanning them with my Canon 9950f brought nice results indeed PS: Using vuescan the Canon supports multi- pass and long- pass
  18. it doesnt reduce resolution in the sense of pixelcount, but the Bayers cannot show fine details. I shot a lot with 15MP Merrills and comparing the pics to 24MP Bayerpics at 100% I see in the Foveons the finest details where in Bayerpics I just see quark.
