Incredible. I've seen a lot of train in motion in the tube shots but this is so far beyond the norm. Just perfect.

DeChirrico or Dali and maybe even a little Boris Vallejo and yet still totally original. Well done.

There is much less noise in the original than in this compressed version, although some is certainly present. I think I shot at ISO 800 or so with my 70-200 zoom, probably all the way out and proabably at about f4. I don't like to disturb people at prayer or treat them like animals in a zoo, so I try to maintain a respectful distance and crank up the ISO and use the zoom. It costs me in quality, but I don't think I'd get the shot otherwise. Thanks for your interest!

A pro-immigration supporter confronts members of an America first
rally in Washington. This was a typical Washington protest in that
the protesters were outnumbered by press and police. There were 10
people running to take pics of this guy and the head you see just in
front of the guy with the sign is a cop.
Another thing I noticed was how nasty and unpleasent the discourse
was by both groups. It made me feel a bit ashamed of my country.
Photgraphically, I wish I could see the guy in the hats face a bit
better.

Gorgous! The best pic I have seen in a while. His pose is just great and the lighting is wonderful.

Just lovely. I've tried this a few times but never with this kind of result.

Nicely posed and great expressions .... however it needs a level adjustment and/or a bit more contrast.

I've always found the Washington Monument fascinating to see but
really boring to photograph. This time, I tried to take some
different shots of it, most of which were failures. But, I do like
this one; it's interesting how it is completely recognizable even
out of focus.

You wouldn't think that a fall this hard to get to would have so
many people around, but on Memorial Day weekend at least, you would
be wrong. However, an effort to avoid having people in the shots
does make one try different lenses and move around a bit more.

I do often shoot flags ... not out of any kind of patriotic impulse
but just because (a) they give a sense of place and (b) they often
seem to provide the an interesting detail to put at a rule of thirds
point to provide a point of interest for the eye. Thats what I tried
to do here. I shot this with a really long zoom and loved the
refleection of the clouds and the design of the building but the
flag, for me, provides one more point of interest. It did, however,
require a long wait with my hands freezinf until a breeze came along.

Female mose in the grass at Yellowstone. There is something I just
love about the delicacy of the color here and how the colors in the
moose seem to match.

I wish every city had these - what a cool, civilized way to travel.
For this photo, I was really trying to strike a balance betweeen
filling the frame with the car and still being able to see Alcatraz
in the back.

Usually, I hate wide angle distortion in architecture, but I kind of
like the way it made this look. What do you think?
