7.
the cyclysts are blurred because they moved.
that is motion blur.

look at the ghosting.
best you see it looking at the helmet of the white fella.

joe is right.
you cannot shoot some place distant, crop in and expect wonderful detail and sharpnes.
it does not work like this :)

  8.
yesterday eveneing i went to take a photo of a rock.
but this will have to wait.

instead i will also post some furniture.

i was ..let's call it exploring..an abandoned house.
i tried if the electricity was still there as it just has been put up for deconstruction, atleastthe signs said so.
i found this tv set and plugged it in:

i went to another room and found this lamp:

photos linked from my fb page
https://www.facebook.com/NorbertWabnigPhotography

    Prehistoric selfie

my first thought was: hp lovecraft i love the composition, the texture and how the roots make their way through what appears to be rock. powerful, dynamic, yet very static. i drop in at top left and get pulled towrds lower right which gives me a slightly negative, implemnting the photo, dirty, torn, feeling. it would a be a great cover for a lot of different horrorstories. lovecraft's "the lurking fear" comes to mind great artwork. love it
  10.
we got one in the studio.
its amazing.
just buy it.
best price /performance rating

it feels a bit palsticy...good plastic though.
in my experience of the last year i came to the conclusion that plastic lenses won't shatter when they hit the ground -.-
and that's a good thing :)))

here is the link to the test of photozone:
http://www.photozone.de/canon_eos_ff/858-tamron90f28vceosff

  11.

Nothing records more than 14 bits at the moment.

oh there are cameras that actually do capture more than 14 bit.
just ass a 0 to the end of the prize tag of a d4s with no dot in between and there you go :)

  12.
first

my drawing is not flawed
http://e5711.blogspot.co.at/

:)

and second
yeah you are right.
i was just providing another possibility, at least i tried as you cannot, never ever, shade against everything with the normal lens hoods.
try the 16-35 from nikon, the 85, the 14-24 even the 24-70 and 70-200 ..
i often had to help with my hands already.

a compendium would be ideal because you can twist and turn it.

i was trying to say
hey theres this, maybe this is something you didnt know rather than go buy the biggest compendium you can find.

i am sorry if this came across wrong.

cheers

  13.
in addtion to the other posts:

they overly loose ring comes from using it...a lot.
thats a normal sign of heavy usage.

  14.
cool photos, joe

and yeah..i am young and therefore the only critique i am capable of is "cool"
because nowadays, everything has to be "cool"

sarcasm aside.

cool photos, joe

:)

  15.

i rest my case

  16.
i do not know about the d200 but newer models do have lens profiles.
when i use the pk 13 i do exactly that and the meta data is right.

menu - non cpu lens - define one.

go shoot.
check meta data. it is all there.

http://www.photo.net/photo/17979470&size=md

for this photo i used:
nikon d3
micro-nikkor 3.5 @ f8.0.
nikon bellow pb-5
nikon pk-13

as far as i know, i dont have any sample online, this also works with any other focal length.
just make your lens a 50 with whatever aperture you have.

cheers

  17.
this might work

the german word is "kompendium", i do not know the correct english term, sorry.
does work for large format wide angle tilitshift, why not for full frame.
it's the best lens hood, but a bit large.

you probably will need adapter rings.
make sure it does take filters

test stuff yourself, hope you got a camera store with people who know stuff as
i cannot help you any further with details.
this is just an idea

good luck

  18.
@john
thank you for this terrific photo of a rock!
huge rock...nice lines and i love the birds up their.
cool shot.

and yes, it had been my d1x, ..
it was broken beyond repair before i did this.

i like quite a few of those photos.
i love wednesday
