In my opinion, this is extremely well done. The use of the mirror and the angle is very effective. I like the sense of light and the depth in the image is very appealing. The main ceiling light is a little too much of a hot spot for me. Again, I must emphasize that this shot is well executed.

I love the overall feel of this image. It desperately cries out for a bit of fill flash. If we were able to see the face and eyes better it would make an enormous difference. The feel and atmosphere of the composition is excellent!

I like the image, but this doesn't look like Mt. Rainier to me. I am sure it must be but I am curious. From what vantage point in the park was this taken? I agree that a bit more contrast would be beneficial.

I'm sorry but this is at best an average sunset pic. The horizon is not straight. A few minutes with an image editing program will correct this. The cloud formation has some interest. It takes a lot to have a frequently photographed subject like this stand out. That is not to say that you shouldn't go for shot's like this if it means something to you. Best wishes!

I think I understand what you were trying to achieve here. However the image lacks sharp focus of any subject. Did you use a tripod? Perhaps it is the scan. The washed out sky is not really doing you any favors either. To me the main subject of this picture is the building on the right and perhaps the flowers in the foreground and not the castle. I would return on a different day and play with the composition. Best wishes!

I really like the overall symmetry of this shot. The lighting is atmospheric. What detracts for me is the light fixture that is nearly in contact with her head. This is worth a trip back! Best wishes.

I think the composition is extremely well done. While I like the play of light and shadow, the lack of lighting on the face causes problems for me. Fill flash would probably ruin the contrast extremes you might have been going for. Perhaps a reflector to add light to specific areas of your subject. Well done!

The other issue here is that the horizon and arch are not level. A bubble level goes a long way towards making this easier. Best wishes!

I think this is a powerful image. The sky is outstanding! I would crop the bottom half inch or so to give this more prominence and an otherworldly feeling.

I really enjoy the detailed architecture in this shot. The verticals are clearly distorted in this picture. Was the camera level with the ground or was it pointing up? If it was pointing up, look for a vantage point where you won't need to do so. Also, there is a lot of dust evident in the scan that could be cleaned up.

There is significant banding and some pixelation on the image. Is this a result of a lower res image for uploading or is it evident in the original image? I think the backlighting is too strong and or the highlights misplaced. I would give this another shot. Best wishes!

I think this is a great shot. Whether intentional or not I really enjoy the lighting and there is tons of atmosphere. Well done!

I really like the idea and the angle of this photo. However, I would really like to see the rest of the cat. Great facial expression and intensity in the eyes.

There is some interesting lighting on the childs face. The way the feet are cut off is a little distracting. Positioning the subject right in the middle often leads to a more static picture. I probably would have positioned the subject's face in the upper left as it would add dimension and give a better sense of what he is looking at.

I really like this image. I think you have done a nice job keeping verticals and horizons in line. Your choice of shutter speed was also good. The one light in front of the building on the left is a little distracting but there is nothing you can really do about it without altering it digitally. Nice job!

I think they help somewhat in that it gives you more a feeling that you are there in the background. The main trunk on the upper left is a little distracting.

I like the rope as a leading line and the sun flare is appropriate to the bright setting. I think the image would be more dynamic if you did not place the climber directly in the center. At least on my monitor the exposure meter looks as if it has underexposed which is probably what you would expect with a point and shoot, although not badly so. The shot does give a sense of place and being there.

I like the subject but the top right corner highlights lack of any detail is distracting.

While Macro is not an area of expertise for me, I do enjoy this shot. The out of focus web and the angle and light add to the aesthetics. While not critically sharp, I think this gives a good feel of the subject. Keep experimenting!

This is a good effort, however, you still have a bit of work to do. The posing in general is good. The hands are a little awkward but there aren't any other distractions in the posing. The lighting needs a bit of help. This is especially true around the eyes. The look is soft. While this is not necessarily bad, it is more frequently used in tighter head shots. This may be more due to the scan than the actual picture. Keep experimenting, you are getting closer!

I really enjoy the symettry and repeated use of patterns in this picture. Great sense of depth as well.
