alex_medeiros 0 Posted April 30, 2001 I really like this image. I think you have done a nice job keeping verticals and horizons in line. Your choice of shutter speed was also good. The one light in front of the building on the left is a little distracting but there is nothing you can really do about it without altering it digitally. Nice job! Link to comment
mriy 0 Posted April 30, 2001 Your composition is very nice. The only thing I would try is to crop the left side to just to the right of the street light. I think this gives it a bit more of an elongated feel and adds to the corkscrew impression. The background on the left doesn't add anything. I know some of it is in the scanning, but the tones are a little flat. You could maybe try some longer exposures to boost the contrast, getting some pure whites from the car lights and deeper blacks from the sky. From looking at this print, I imagine that the negative is fairly thin. Very good eye. Keep taking night shots Link to comment
