New at street-photography. Any comments/critiques are appreciated. Thanks

Trying street photography -- well train photography to be precise in
this case. Comments are appreciated.

Interesting idea, but there are too many things happening in this photograph so the emphasis is not clear. I saw the flags and was wondering if this had something to do with "medications" of some sort. If I think of something
that can improve the idea/shot I will leave another comment.

The idea is good but the execution is too in-your-face. I am not even sure if one needs a hand here. A softer light source would be good as well.

It looks like a dangerous situation, but more foolhardy than dangerous. The out of focus area on the top left tries to grab the attention -- I wonder if it could have been avoided.

PT, this seems like a reasonable interpretation of the theme. I would suggest a B/W version of the image as the colors here do not add to anything and seem a bit pixelated (not sure though what it is ).

The rusty colors are great but the photograph is too balanced. I would recommend diagonal composition. What dould also be interesting is a composition involving only the top part of the bridge. I don't know if this is possible but these great reds agains a blue sky would be great -- a bit minimalistic....

I see convergence and the interesting colors but it would have been nicer if there were fewer white spots.

This is a good capture and agree that greyscale is
a good choice as well. I am guessing that all these hooks are converging to pickup something. It is a different and good interpretation. As far as composition goes it would be better if somehow the hooks on the top left corner were on the same side as the other two. The current composition is balanced but maybe too balanced (!?). Just a thought. Good idea!

Very well done with psychedelic colors. But, the themefit (if one can interpret a theme for the assignment) is weak if at all with the help of the title. The idea behind it is very good. I wonder if there is any way to follow you approach without the title.

Seven, I saw this earlier at the No-words. I really like it. When I first saw it I thought that this was a shot of an building.

PT, that is very cool. You must have done a very good job of lighting it as I was sure this is some latex based membrane.
I had thoughts about whether things would aesthetically look any different if the needle was pointing into the top-right corner. For some reason these days I am very intrigued by how the left to right reading habit (atleast in the most of the world) changes how one feels about a pictorial composition. Did you consciously choose this orientation to add more depth? Just curious...

PT, this is a very efferctive idea, with contrasting "textures/properties (hard/soft)". I like how you have composed the part ellipse here. For some reason I think it seems a bit too tight a composition -- how about giving more dark space on the top and right for more imbalance. One thing you might try is a similar shot with needle on the suface of water (supported by surface tension). Could be interesting....

PT, This is a good find now that winter is here (at least in the N. hemisphere). However, I prefer the second version more than the first. The water droplets add something more to the composition by providing contrast between two states of water. A closeup of the one of the ice crystals could be something worth exploring.
