PT I like the texture and the color on this one. Seems like a footmat or a scrub. Really a good find. The positioning of the pattern is good as well.

A breath of fresh air. It is original and the orientation works very well. Thanks for sharing.

Really good idea for a tough theme. The execution is well done. I would have liked to have "him/her" :) looking up to the source of light.

Rough and tough it is -- good one PT. The composition works and the colors are great. Overall very nice. I was wondering if a composition with the rope in the vertical would be worth trying as well.

PT, I like this and the aeroplane acts as a focal point and does draw the attention but I think in a good way. Sort of provides a context. In some cases the high altitude clouds are indeed due to the aeroplanes. Works for me!

PT, I really like this interpretation. The composition works for me and tells a bit of story by not giving away too much - doesn't shackle your imagination. The contrast in textures - hard and soft adds to the photo. Sweet!

PT, a good way to start the folder. Although I had not really noticed the shallow depth of focus untill I read the comments, I quite like it. The symmetry just makes it for me.

I like the mysterious nature of the composition and the gradual change in the contrast as one goes from right to left. The fit to the theme is fine with me.
-
Good idea. I would recompose it to exclude the part of the glass in the left frame. I really like the warmth of the shot.

PT I like the idea. However, whatever that is there at the bottom right corner is a bit distracting. It is in that context that I like Joe's suggestion. It defenitely seems tighter.
-
As has been said earlier, the idea is good and the exposure if pretty good as well. For some weird reason I want to try a shot of these falling into a colored liquid. I don't know why ;).

Thanks Joe.

PT, this fits the theme for sure. However, the choice of the background takes something away from the idea. I would suggest photographing the pendant when someone is wearing it. In any case I would recommend some color other than black as a backgroundn -- maybe even white with a bit of backlighting through a translucent white background.

Hmmm, the idea is interesting, but the lack of visual clues makes it tricky. I am not sure about the tilt either. Maybe greater depth of focus will solve the problem. Funny and lighthearted interpretation of the theme.

PT, after your explanation this makes sense. Well thought out. Thanks!

Amazing capture. I would have liked to see a little bit more of the windy road/vehicle markings in the foreground and a little less of the sky.

Thanks, Jana and Dominique.

Thanks, Jana.

Nice colors and composition except for the black triangular space at the top right.

PT, a good idea. However, I prefer the original without the montage.

PT, very good idea. The tiles provide strong lines leading to the drain and the "strange" angle almost gives it a photojournalism kind of feel.

I realize the flower in the forground is distracting. But what else
could be better. Thanks!
