1.
Wet Plate is also blue/UV sensitive. Unless you find a film near that spectrum it won't look like collodion. In addition, film clumps so detail/sharpness isn't at molecular level

 2.
That should be just set screws that loosened or fell out. You could try an independent repair, but it will take quite some time to get done. I would think that the value would drop by more than $350 because they may lose the lens for a month or more to get repaired (most people want use the lens right away) and also because, no one know what else might be wrong with the lens.

 3.
What sized trays? I never had problems using a 11x14 tray with 8x10 film

 4.
There were also rangefinder versions of the Pens

 5.
My 9x12 Bergheil has a lock on the elevation knob. It also has a bayonet attachment for the shutter assembly. There are two focus scales presumably for the normal focal length and a longer one. My Avus doesn't have any of these

 6.
Maybe you need more experience before going out and trying to get an internship or to assist. Professional photographers need to make sure that the intern or assistant makes their lives easier, not more complicated. The more they have to train, the more they have to take their attention away from their jobs. Follow Ian's advice once you have the skills. A lot of my students have done internships in NY so a well-prepared student can find one

 7.
That is a manual focus lens

 8.
If you click on the link, all your questions are answered

 9.
Fuji films work. The look is different and the technique is different, but you can do both emulsion and image transfers

 10.
Some do, and some don't. All equipment depends on the needs, not wants of the assignment

 11.
Another very popular method was to use pencils and abrasive tools on an Adams Retouching Machine. The Adams held the negative on a light stage. The machine would vibrate the neg at a high frequency so instead of having to move the pencil/abrasive around, you could just touch it to the area you wanted to darken/lighten/

 12.
And no lawyer would normally take on the case unless there were the potential of high enough damages

 13.
For the past 30 years I've been a commercial photographer and instructor, high key has always been as Matt L. and the others have explained

 14.
Do you know it was done in PS? High key is a lighting technique

 15.
Larry, do you mean Rollei ATP? That film is similar to Tech Pan film not Kodalith, but Rollei makes a 35mm ortho film

 16.
Ultrafine High Contrast Litho film

http://www.ultrafineonline.com/ulhicoorlifi.html

 17.
It allows a camera to be moved from horizontal to vertical

 18.
CLA is Clean Lube Adjust. They don't fix cosmetics

 19.
I kindly tell them, "Thanks, but I'm not interested in taking photos of that subject matter/place."

 20.
Hope that solves some of your issues with the lens

 21.
Based on your type of photography, you might get a lens that is less prone to flare like the Nokton 35/1.4 MC or the Color Skopar
