I'm bias towards square formats - full marks there:) The landscape setting is beautiful as all your scapes are. I'm not as bothered by the motion in the leaves as much as the over bright patch in the sky and my wish list would include not having that middle/little tree there.

Thank you Anthony for your comment. Sorry for the very late come back, have not been too consistent here till recently :)
Your comment of the 'heavy top' makes good sense however, this shot was taken in a public park and if I remember correctly, the flowers really didn't have much leaves on them. As for converting to B&W, I love B&W, but in view of the other rich colours near by, I stayed true to the sea of rich hues. Thank you again for taking the time.
Alan, I thank you too.

Marco...thank you.

Paul - thank you for checking :) In fact, this was taken in your neck of the woods - off a fishing boat near Granville market.

Not everyone see the same things. Reason why I no longer go to criliques or ask for numbers :) Glad we see through same eyes Marilia.

Eyes of children tell the truth, don't they? Even without reading your comments, one look on their faces tell their minds and body are not at one :) Very cute catch Alan.

Simple yet classic. The tones and texture comes through well. Was wondering what film you used. The result is very nice.

Hi Patricia,
Perfect reflections, the mirror image is almost more perfect then the real scene with every detail pin sharp. I'm not sure what it is - could be there's 'too much' reflected that results in a rather busy scene or perhaps the colours are too rich? I wonder if the cyan in the sky's blue could be reduced just a little ? Hm..not sure.

The man of wisdom, bright light and life in the speaking eyes and the famous lean forward posture. Perfect capture.

Thank you to all for your kind words and advice. Much appreciated.

Lucky me - I came across your awesome portfolio via your 'woman in Rome'. Much time will be needed & found to enjoy & learn from each. As with other works of yours, this country land though not original in composition (what is!), has that same rich deep tones and glowing high lights threaded where light is called for. The leading curve of the road travels the eye to no end. Tranquil.

Thank you Jeff for your comment. These hooks were hanging in a line on a fishing boat (no idea what they are used for), the background was peeling white paint, I played with the idea of keeping the patchy background, decided to high key it in the end. Maybe I could lower the contrast a little - thank you again for taking the time.

Magic waterdrops never stay the same, another little moment all might be different! Perfect timing, beautiful capture Galina.

Thank you everyone for the kind feed backs. Marco - yes - the camera is wonderful.

The unusual angle and the clean B&W tones give this that striking look. I too would like to see a slight crop to the top. I saw an image much like this by "Jan Olof Harnstrom" recently...take a look, you may find it interesting.

Oops...nearly forgot:)
Jimmy, I'm not good with PS at all..but like fiddling. Can't remember how I lightened this the first time, here, I used levels and selected colours and added sepia...what do you think?

Takes a creative & daring mind to leave so much space, works a treat. So glad to have seen this.
-
Jimmy, I did it quickly for fun, will have another go tomorrow and post here to see what you think.

The composition balanced by the two big trees and the far away layered hills is eye catching. The lack of detail in the foreground black....I hope you don't mind, I played in PS using 'selective colours - neutrals. Was able to lighten the foreground by much. Seems to work but probably will need burn tool help too. Just a thought :)

Thank you Jimmy for the kind words of encouragement. I am too green at this art form to have any style of my own as yet. Names of those who inspire me could be 9 miles long :) Will indeed take deep long looks at Mr. Andrei Tarkovski's work.

You too Laura, you too :)

Seven, I tried the new crop & like it better - thank you for the suggestion.
May I ask if 'picture this' is only for the experienced?
