Appreciate your kind feed back.
Strangely, printing on both gloss and matte paper, the prints stood up better then here on-line. The matte paper gave a pencil drawing effort which suited better.
Meanwhile, I will try adding contrast to my computer version and see if I can improve it. Thank you for the advice.

For your kind feedbacks.
Jason, if the truth be known, I didn't see the birds before the click - it was a lucky catch.
Lyle, I like your idea of the crop between the 2/3 tree, that would nicely clear away the reflection of the lower tree, but I didn't want to reduce the width of the image, if anything, had the birds not been there, I think I would prefer to have cropped the image to a squarer format.
-
This is not the best of 'camera skill' photos, but I really like the mood. Hope to have the knowledge to fine tune it someday.
-
I tried to clone out the reflection of the tree on the lower left,
but gave up due to limited PS skills.
-
Lovely reflections, especially the clouds. On first view, I thought maybe the sky colour could be stronger, but a longer look says the pale colours gives the difference. (hope all that made sense)

Hi Danny, I can't figure out what I'm looking at, but think its so abstractly beautiful.
-
This is so unusual and beautiful Robert.
-
This image would be good for a children's fairy-tale book cover. Nice work Alan.
-
Alan, your model's hai.......r! This isn't Camilla? I laughed out loud at Ivo's comment.
Most unusual portrait, one or more shampoo/hair product companies would love this for a press ad.
-
It would almost be ashame to do anything to this image. But I guess the top is rather overexposed. If you left it, you'd probably always wonder if......I'd crop as little as possible.
-
I tried with limited skills and results to separate the layers of
the mountains. Could probably crop more of the foreground, but
quite like the 'squared format' Appreciate your thoughts please?
-
Creative and unusual idea Patricia.
-
Very nice combination job Carol. The lacy window patterns add interest. The whole image now has a strong 'Zen' feel.
-
Agree with Patricia, the umbrella adds life to an otherwise already very nice shot - very calm and quiet.
-
What a shot, what a moment you have captured here Fred. And so vividly. Both animals are beautiful, pity what nature intends though.
-
This is a very nice portrait (your daughter?) she has lovely eyes. I also like this tonal treatment.
-
Now that you mentioned it, I think you may be right - she does look a little pregnant ....so she should look so happy!
-
Nestor, Margaret, Jeremy and Axel for taking the time to comment.
Nestor, I don't much like the sky either, but it was the best outcome using levels.
Axel, my camera was already set on manual with smallest aperture(F8 Sony F717) when I spotted the lady. No tele attached, just got lucky.
-
To everyone for your feed backs. I hope this lady's happy outlook brought you a smile too.

Hello Andy, I never mean to get caught up with the 'ugly' side of the 'happy swamp' as you put it. But do find it strange that more often then not, the low rate and run people seem not to have anything in their folders. This image was put up in the spirit of FUN, to share with you the magic of Paris - no more or less, why can't people hang loose, and take it at face value?
-
Margaret, your new version does more justice to this well captured composition.
Robert's toned version gives the magic glow and separates the foreground tree from the bridge. A master's touch.
-
I thought people who rate 1's needed to explain? Or have I got it wrong? Also wonder why drive- by low raters seem never to have a folder?? Hmmm.
-
Norbert, Jerry, Joshua, Matt, Bridget and Andy.
Jerry, I thought she might be too much in the middle of the frame as well, but I had little time especially as I didn't know if she would mind the camera. (I thought, but will never know if she was 'all there', that's why I named it as such!)
Matt, do you think maybe a slightly darker sky would work better?
Bridget and Andy, this is a moment grab-shot, learning fast from Andy doing Streets! But scare stiff all the time of people's reactions.
Thank you everyone, this was a little fun.

This lady was walking towards me with a big smile. She seemed not
to mind my camera. Will never know her story........
