Interesting.

I like this image. I'm puzzled by the 4/3 rating in light of the images posted by that rater. That aside, this is a wonderful picture which needs only to be dodged in the shadows of the bottom and lower left for better balance.

I can't see what Kari is talking about. Even if this is a composite it's a striking image of a woman with a beautiful set of eyes. It presents much to think about. I'm really bothered by posts to this site that dis post-processing of photographic images. Computers give us the opportunity to do things in minutes that took photographers days to accomplish in the darkroom. We see the beautiful images captured by Ansel Adams but few people know he regularly spent days in his darkroom post-processing one image. Were he alive today I'll bet he would be using photoshop with glee.

This is a great image-true to the visual grid and very well captured. While others will nit-pik about changes I think it should be left alone. It deserves to fill a large wall.

This needs to be a Photo of the Week. Perfect exposure under difficult lighting conditions. Composition could not be better. Well done.

I like this but it needs to centered and lightened-it's a bit too dark. Do not take offense-ninety-five percent of the imaged posted to this site are far too dark-poor exposures, etc.,...

Original composition. Nice soft lighting. Well done.

There are kids who never get to experience the fun of summers at a swimming hole. This image goes a long way to revive such memories. The composition is good and the sepia tone works well. One of the best kid images posted to this site.

What's the point of a composite depicting a bully stomping on a little pigeon?

Great use of space.

I like this image. It's original and well thought through. I like the blur of the lady just as she hits on her drink. I might burn in the lower right corner for better balance, soften the glare of the white lights and dodge the dark areas to provide better shadow details. But,then again,I might leave it alone and get lost in wonderment over the trials and tribulations of existing in Las Vegas.

I like much of your work but this is my favorite. It's simple, direct and the kid is beautiful. On conversions to B&W try Duplicate Layer, Channel Mixer- Image>Adjustment>Channel Mixer>R:55,G:45,B:10, check Monochrome. You might like the tones.

Fred: Was that thing coming after you? I think I might skip ocean fishing as a pass-time.

Perfect image true to the visual grid.

You have a good eye but many of your images are flat, this because you are shooting at mid-day. Try early morning and early evening when light rays are longer. You'll see a world of difference.

This is excellent. One of the few images posted to this site that's true to the visual grid.

This is an excellent image. Very soothing. Only thing I would do is crop 25% from the top because the upper left corner is washed out and has no texture from the clouds. The other reason is balance. Too much sky distracts the viewer from the landscape below.

I like the concept of this image but the execution is off. The cheek and neck are washed out and distracting. It's like too much light was bounced off them and washed out all skin texture. They are a completely different color and the attempt to fix it was not properly executed. Lighting ratios for portraiture are quite difficult to master. Good soft boxes go a long way to preventing washed out features.

I like the composition and exposure of this image. Well thought through.
