Really beautiful...suspended reality. Stopped motion. Lovely bokeh.

You nailed this one Javier. From the angle of her back and the crossed arms under her head all the way to the blank space in front of her.
-
it looks like it is becoming part of the landscape. it has character now. beautiful image.

thanks so much for the useful critique...there is no backlighting. i only had my sb-600 to light the dancer from approximately 45ft away.

This image is OK, but it is missing something. I am not sure I
captured what I had in my minds eye. I was tucked away in the corner
of the balcony, but did not have access to the main floor or a better
perch in the balcony. Too far to really blur background. What would
make it better?

Frame cropped from the sides to eliminate play room toys and junk. Cropped to 8x10 for printing. There is a kid sized table in front of him. and little room behind me to back up or move in. it is a small room.

This little guy was visiting with his father and grandmother. He was
fascinated by the camera and "posed" for me. This is the quick
result. Handheld with window light only.

I can viscerally experience the sensation of the moving train. the lighting and dusk light add additional credibility to the composition. Well done.

Get it? The light is in the right place. Well executed, creative....

I was actually just changing the set and testing the lighting when
her wandered into the frame. We were all pleased with the results
and decided to let me have a got with it. Tell me what you think!

Looking for ideas. I have a couple of these in B/W and a few in
color. Wondering which suits subject best. I am starting a series of
them since I seem to keep eating at them now. TIA

top rate work. this may be one of the nicest images i have seen and rated recently.
-
the reflections really do add to the image. nice soft lighting and great composition. winning shot.
-
the blurred shape of the battle ship in the harbor and the distant era of the revolution. the belt buckle is a nice symbol for the true birthplace of the revolution - in men's souls. great geometry and symbolism.
-
what an interesting combination of these elements in your photograph. i am truly intrigued by the swirling staircase that bisects the wall with two windows (light) and ends just above the landing. Compositionally I would say this is perfect. Beautiful.

It is one of those colors that can excite the spirit. What a glorious colorful and spunky composition. Frame filling joy!

Looking forward to hearing what you like about this candid. She was
one of a few children waiting for a parent visit Friday before
Mothers' Day. Mom never showed. The social worker said she seldom
smiles. AF 28-70 f/2.8 and 3600HS flash set for fill. f/5.6 and
1/60sec
