  1. "has nothing whatsoever to do with turning profits" Bill Yet, they make huge endless profits from folks suffering. Profits from 2019 , are staggering, 808 billion in 2021.and yes they are full of massive bureaucracy. Its all about facts and figures. Anway, we are about photos .Little else.
  2. Crap technical photo. But methinks it emulates all our thoughts on this forum.
  3. Chin up Arthur easy to say but to do. Best wish for you.Really.
  4. " I am one of those hapless Australians that rely on our public health system. Arthur. Understand the need to make profit that is how the world goes around. But profit from from someone's ill health, and suffering, seems to me a great lack of humanity. The worship of the coin above all else...humanity for our fellows, on this earth, be dammed.. Sad.
  5. "I think it's Leonardo" Harry Baker. Correct.
  6. Personally, for me ,it is about the content of the photograph, little else. However, I cannot help thinking that Street Photography is very much steeped in B/W photography.. So, a website offering B/W Patinum Palladiemt film prints , or Iphone prints....what would be the most succesful in the commercial. world?
  7. Is that that photo, I posted, of you Fred? Or, you mate Dusty? Just a bit of banter ;))
  8. they decide as a business not some wordsmith on the web.. Hello, real world.
  9. Someone got to help them out of their rocking chairs and help them tie their shoe laces
  10. "Today The barriers that existed to lack of recognition of exceptional color street photography is only self imposed. "Ioneeye. Bottom line it is all about the commercial world. They decide as a business not some wordsmith on the web.. Hello, real world.
  11. Me, I've seen too many souls . Sort of sad for me. Troubling
  12. Arthur collects souls ,although he struggling with that concept
  13. "There are many great and successful color street photographers creatively" Iononeeye Indeed, since the conception of colour photography that has been true. But, there's always a but. So, a B/W from Henri Cartier Bresson or a Colour print from him? What would you choose in the real word? A obvious answer. Reality , B/W it dominates street photography.. B/W is consider a truer form of street photography as it removes the distraction of colour, and enables the viewer to enjoy the character and essence of the photograph.
  14. But the Art has always been about B/W.to this day. That throw away statement by myself only refers to street photography. My Bad. History repeats itself time and time again...nothing really changes The history of street photography has always been about B/W as pertained till today.. Henri Carter Bresson print in B/W or colour?Where would your coin go.?
  15. Many great colour street photographers. But the Art has always been about B/W.to this day.
  16. "Really, it is about the commercial, success, and that decides what works or not" Members Unless you live in a fairy world (love to have little wings to flutter around with) it really is about commercial success. Art is a business, not any different from any other business. They decide what is Art. Really that simple. And when they decide what is Art; you will also believe that is Art.
  17. "This song is not about you" JDM Fair enough. But your actually thoughts would be more interesting.. Don't you think? Or, am I not worthy? Dustin, contribute....you are not just about a simple song. .Contribute to the discussion. So, for street photography, is not the superior medium B/W. ? And yes, their are many successful street who work in colour.. But in the real commercial world, the value of their prints have little value compared with those who work with B/W photography and film. Really, it is about the commercial,, and decides what works or not.
  18. Correct me if I'm wrong, but are you calling me a pig, because I posted some thoughts? Your video implies it. Yet, I've always been civil to you. Have you thought of responding to the post in a civil constructive way? We can all be nasty.
  19. Ask Leonardo de Vinci, or, Michelangelo, if the process was an important part of their Art. So, does BW photography lend itself to the Art of street photography, by removing the distracting colour elements, and taking us to the soul of the image.
  20. This has NOTHING to do with street photography." Really? yet HCB also took colour photos ....rarely viewed : it was always about his B/W photos. Methinks, with all due respect, you are not a street photographer. having little understanding of street photography.
