  11. Hello Thanks for the comments. Bill, I have the Better Scanning film holder and glass and the glass for the 35mm film holder. These new film holders for the V800 have an antinewton "glass" in them, how good they are remains to be seen, I have only scanned a couple of negs. Rick, I was looking on the bay for another Pilot and all seem to have the incident cover cracked and I noticed mind does to, at least I think it just split a couple weeks ago, do you and Bill use it incident or reflective, the ones in this thread I scanned were reflective. Are you setting the meter to read over exposure? Thanks for the help Don
  12. Hello All I think I figured out what I may have done, I developed a roll of Delta 100 from the Hasselblad and they came out fine. On the previous try with the I poured both A and B in at the same time and they mixed before hitting the water, this time I poured A in then B in separately and the negs came out fine, one below. Thanks for all the posts.
  13. Hello Rick and Wouter Thanks for the replies. Below are a couple of scans following Ricks procedure and all I did in my PS Elements 2 was resize the image Pretty happy so far, these negs are probably a little under so a little dark Rick The first time I did the scans it scanned twice, the second was an IR scan and the image was flat with no detail, is the part of the dust/scratch and grain reduction? I turned them both off and got a good scan? Anyway here are a couple from the Hasselblad that I did this past week, as said a little under as I used a different meter, Goosen Pilot so I need to get used to it.
  14. Hello All Just got the new Epson v800 did a test scan using a 35mm neg on both Silverfast8 and the Epson scan software, liked the Epson better but wanted to get some feedback. Which do you use, I noticed that some use the Silverfast8 and if so do you use the workflow pilot or not. I was having problems on the sizing and settings. I know this should probably be in a different thread but I am here most often and you all do a lot of scanning, so... Thanks Don here is the tests from each scan it looks like the Epson is cutting off the top and bottom I think because it batch scanned??? silverfast Epson And this one is from the Vuescan software that I originaly did
  15. Hello all Thanks for the comments I had just mixed a new batch of fix before developing this roll, I am using TF4 fix The film is TMax 400 and it expired 2002 and it has been in the fridge the whole time, I opened a roll and cut a piece and it cleared in 2 minutes and I fixed this roll for 7 mins so plenty of time. I tried to refix a piece of this roll and no change. The parts A and B were clear when I poured them into the beakers and I dumped them both into the distilled water at the same time and the mix turned the pinkish/orange color, which as I mentioned was different than all the other times I mixed the developer. These bottles are the small bottles and are almost empty so I am going to dump them and use the two new bottles that I have. Any other suggestions? Thanks Again Don
  16. Hello I have been using PyrocatHd for the past couple of months with out any problems, except the time I used two part A's instead of A and B, but in the last couple of times I have developed rolls of 120 I have had problems. I first noticed that the developer turned kinda of a pinkish orange, this is the first time I have noticed this color, when I added the A and B and one roll came out clear nothing but had a orange tint, and it was from a Hasselblad so did not have the lens cap on, the next roll had images but has strange colors? through out the negatives. Has anyone had issues like this or did the developers get contaminated? I use two different measure tubes and droppers all marked A and B. Does this developer go bad? I have attached a shot of the negs so hopefully you can help me with this issue. forgot to say this was expired Tmax 400 Thanks Don Here are some shots of the negs and leader
  17. Hello from the Hassleblad 500C expired Delta 100 Pyrocat HD I was checking to see if there were any problems with the camera, lens and backs, everything looks great as far and the body and lens, it looked like there was a light leak in the back near the slide but when scanning it almost appeared like there was not enough developer in the tank but I know there was but when I opened the tank the clip holding the reel had moved up about a 1/4 inch so maybe not a leak, I will have to try this back again, notice the light streak down the right side. Will develop the other roll next time. I had some issues with the sky, it was a cloudy day, blowing out so I adjusted the level down to bring out the cloudy sky but made them look a little muddy, I have a Epson 800 on the way so maybe the next ones will be better.
  18. Still have the rest of the roll of Portra 160 in the Rollei 35S and just loaded a couple of cartridges of Kentmere 100 from bulk for the two Fed2's with an Industar 22 and the Jupiter 8 to see which one I prefer. And just got the old 500C Hassleblad out and loaded the two old backs for that camera with Delta 100 and Agfa APX100 to check the system and backs as it may go up for sale? I haven't decided yet. I have the 500CM that I just had the Lens and a back serviced by Odess and will be sending the body into him for a service so I don't see the need for two different systems of the same. but the 500C is in really nice shape sooo... not sure!
  19. Here are a few more from the Fed2 from this past weekend
  20. Thanks James, Feeling better Thanks Bill I will just have to live with it, the other Fed2 seems to be better.
  21. Hello All I haven't posted for awhile or taken any photos lately, had to have a stint put in. So these are my first photos since then, Oct. 22 Taken with the Fed 2 and Jupiter 8 with 5222 XX film developed with PyrocatHD The negatives came out looking very good, my scans are only so,so I noticed that the bottom of the frames were running into the sprocket holes, is there a way to adjust this?
