Film Camera Week for June 15
Don Harpold replied to Mike Gammill's topic in Classic Manual Film Cameras
And a second entry This one from the Voigtlander Perkeo II using Ektar 100 again processed by FotoExpress and scanned again by me. I am surprised how good this Perkeo II is working. I must say I like the way most of these came out, I watched a video on Youtude by Alan Brock explaining how he scans Ektar and it was very helpful. Anyway, here are a few and again I am sure some of the colors are off but I will get better. Most of these are my Homage to Bill Bowes :) Farmers market Cherries Blueberries Peaches Beans Bikes -

Hello Here are some from the last week or so. First up from the Hasselblad 500CM using expired Ektachrome 200 processed by FotoExpress in San Jose, CA and scanned by myself on the Epson V800 using the Epson software Note I am just getting the hang of the color scanning so some of the colors will be off and I am aware. Hello Dave It is about the same as any other folder, it makes me slow down and do everything right. The camera itself is pretty small so it is light which makes it nice to use. -

Film Camera Week for June 8
Don Harpold replied to Mike Gammill's topic in Classic Manual Film Cameras
Thanks Bill I have a second body I got from Jurgen? that I am trying with the "new" chrome Jupiter 8. I had to adjust the focus on it as it was way off so we will se how those turn out, probably just retire the other body if this one works out ok, after all these are pretty cheap and if this one doesn't work I will just find a different LTM camera, maybe an IVSB? or another Fed -
Film Camera Week for June 8
Don Harpold replied to Mike Gammill's topic in Classic Manual Film Cameras
Hello Here a couple from a few days ago, using the Fed2 with a black Jupiter 8 Kentmere 100 developed in HC110 dil. B I batch scanned these on the Epson V800 using Epson sofware. There was only a little adjustment in PS. Still lot of grain using the HC110 but with the problem I had with the Pyrocat HD I decided to use the HC110 to make sure these came out. There is a light leak on some of the photos and not others so I think it is a flare from the camera. Also the right side of the frame is darker than the left on some of the shots not sure what is going on there. I used an older Pentax Spotmeter that I wanted to see if it was close I didn't have the correct Mercury batt so I used a spring with the 635 Anyways here are a few -

Hello Dave Here are some images of the camera. I saw some photos posted on another board and they were very nice so I decided to give one a go. I even found a Voigtlander rangefinder out of Great Brittan that landed the same day as the camera -

Pyro question
Don Harpold replied to Don Harpold's topic in The Wet Darkroom: Film, Paper & Chemistry
Thanks Bill I use a Paterson tank and my mix is 4ml of A and B to 400ml of distilled water and normally develop just one roll at a time -
Hello All I have been using Pyrocat HD and have been having some issues, it has been hit and miss. Saturday I developed a roll of HP5 and it came out blank, the time before no problem, I am using it 1-1-100 and I use separate measuring vessels and separate syringes and all are marked A and B I use distilled water and my method has been the same for all the rolls and some come out great and some nothing. The film has a pink cast almost like XP2 and the developer pours out a orange-pinkish color. Can some of you who use the Pyro's tell me how you mix your developer, ie: do you pour A in and mix in the water and then pour in B and mix that or is there a different way to do it. Again I have rolls come out great and others that are blank and I have done the same process on all . Thanks Don

Which 35mm Developer is Right for You?
Don Harpold replied to marc_bergman1's topic in Classic Manual Film Cameras
Interesting that it reads Rodinal should not be used with high speed films, back in that day what was considered "high" speed -
Film Camera Week for June 1
Don Harpold replied to Mike Gammill's topic in Classic Manual Film Cameras
Hello Wouter Make sure you use two separate syringes and two separate measuring beakers when mixing A and B make sure to mark each and only use them for that chemical. I found that I have to pour in A and mix and then pour in B and mix, I have had a couple times where I messed up and came out with nothing. I don't know how critical it is but I prewash for three minutes because that is what I had read and heard. Rick and Bill and a couple of others can chime in and give thoughts on their proceedures I do like the results I get when everything goes right. Don -
What's going on here and how to fix?
Don Harpold replied to by randall's topic in Classic Manual Film Cameras
Hello By Randall I had the same on a Leica IIIf looked pretty much the same with a bunch of pin holes, I sent it to Ye and had it serviced and the curtain replaced fine now. I also had a Fed2 with a few holes in the curtain so I took some fabric paint and painted the curtain both sides two coats, let dry between, and problem solved. As Andyfalsetta said check both curtains I did not see anything on the curtain when the shutter was cocked but the holes showed up after the shutter was released this stuff worked great Don -
Do I Have what I need for a Leica iiif?
Don Harpold replied to Tripleamia's topic in Leica and Rangefinders
Hello Tripleamia You will definitely need a meter, the Gossen Pilot is cheap and ok, I happen to like the Gossen LunaPro with the spot attachment myself. I do have the variable viewfinder which is an option down the road and does make a difference, in my opinion, makes framing so much nicer Here is my IIIf -
