Marc I prefer this one indeed, there is too much dark area (for my taste) on the right side of the other one, Jean

Sorry for the french title that cant be translated (has to do with
the name of the tree) but is is not very important, Thank you for
rating and comments, Jean

You really filled the picture with the boat...Jean

lovely shot, too bad that we can not see the dog eyes, or even a slight glance frome the eyes (where those closed?). Photoshop could help if you are not against manipulation....Jean
-
this is simply beautiful....Jean

This is my prefered in the folio. You have succeeded in bluffing us, Jean

Robert I do not understand the technical details, but I like the picture, the harmony in the green blue and the unusual position (whats going on here?) and the effect mentioned making it a bit sureal, jean

Nice shot, I would however have avoided to have the light source too much in the middle. Aslo crop a bit the bottom there is a reflexion that is a bit catching attention. Jean

If you like this picture and are interested to see more of this kind I have used the same "technique" for two other in my folios:

Comments and rating welcome, thank you. I have used this "technique"
for few other shots, see the link in the comments of the pictures.

John, this is a stunning picture, is is really a pity the top of the tree is missing because this picture have the potential of the top rating.

thnak you Steve, most of my pictures are taken very close from where I live, so lets say 90% are taken at less than 5km from my home.
In fact I have difficulties with going too far a way from home for the time and this has resulted that I had to find my photo ideas close. I was indeed very surprised myself by the amazing number of possibilities. One has just to open eyes,,,,I'm also lucky with the place I live...Jean

This is a good capture, but you should really consider to crop heavily on every side, I made this (in my mind) and have rated.

Peter, this is really a stunning picture, I was to ask about the blue spot when I rwad the other comment, despite it is there in reality I wonder if if like it on the picture, but this is really a very minor point, Jean

Celal, you are right I like the combinaison of the computer + photography and the two are complementary in my work, sometimes some of my pictures are not altered at all some time a bit.
But on the other hand in "pure" photography ypu can also alter your image by the choice of filter, film and work in the darkroom. To me both ways are fine to achive the picrures we want, ans we shall not oppose the techniqes, they have both their place, what do you think?
best wishes, jean
