cegeiss
Even on the most "boring" flights I try to get one. I can't count the number of cloudscapes I have. How about you guys? This is from a recent flight across the country to San Francisco.

Christoph Geiss
Gup
This one was snapped over Newfoundland and Labrador in June. The arrows indicate ice bergs.
I can't fly without snapping out the window either. In fact, I always have small binoculars in my carry-on and spend most of my daylight air time with my face glued to the window. It always fascinates me.

marc_rochkind
There's a book with that exact title by Julieanne Kost, the well-known Adobe Photoshop/Lightroom trainer. Search on Amazon.

Here's my contribution to this thread. That's an engine on the left.

cegeiss
Hi Marc,
I did not know this book. An even more interesting choice, however, might be "Window Seat" by Gregory Dicum, who might make your next trip across the US even more interesting. Since yous ent me on this search: Another thing that came to mind is the app "Flyover Country" written by some friends of mine at the University of Minnesota. I only have a "dumb phone" so I haven't tried it myself, but you might want to check it out.
Christoph
Christoph Geiss
Laura Weishaupt
From the skies over eastern Montana. There was a huge thunderstorm out the window and it made for great viewing, and a few photos. A polarizer or some ND would have been nice, but I didn't have either in hand at the time.

Glenn McCreery
I just wish that I had brought a better camera than the simple point-and-shoot that I had available. I was not expecting both great visibility and a clean airliner window. I have taken this same flight a number of times since, and, although I have had a better camera available, have yet to use it.

I love the colors of Bela's Namibia photograph. Looking at this photograph and J.D.M.'s, I conclude that I need to visit Africa.
