johncox
From what I've read I really like this film. But I need it about a stop faster and I've always liked a high contrast look. Before I buy a bunch I'd like to know if anyone thinks its worth pushing a stop and in what developer.
larrydressler
I would not unless this is the HC look you want.

peterbcarter
That look is done by how you developed and not the film.
larrydressler
Exactly. A very finicky film and the developers used need to be proper. That was Rodinal 1-300. I have had better results with Diafine at E.I. 16. but as for higher speeds all I ever have gotten was high contrast even with Technidol.
john_shriver
If you really want a LOT of contrast, buy or mix Kodak D-19. Speed, but approaching lith contrast.
Aoresteen
No. I would not "push". I used Adox 20 at an EI of 10 or 16. If you need speed buy HP-5 or Tri-X.
stephen t
Per Freestyle's description: "Note: Adox CMS II 20 120 size must be developed with Adotech CMS II developer and does not work with the previous version of this developer Adotech CMS."

Larry, was the image you posted developed 1-300 Rodinal using stand development? I like that look and used to get something similar by using a slide copier/bellows and shooting slides on Ortho 6556. I can't remember what developer I used, but it may well have been D-19. Was decades ago.

Is there something equivalent to 6556 anymore? I would like to experiment again with ultra high contrast without going through the lith process if possible.

larrydressler
It was semi Stand. FFP has some Microfilm and other HC emulsions to play with they had some Kodalith but I am not sure if they still do.
http://filmphotographyproject.com/store/film
