Last weekend I spent some time at the Great Salt Lake to work on my landscape skills. At one point I stopped at a view area off of I-80 to get another angle of the lake with Antelope Island in the background.
As I was framing my shot I noticed that about a mile northwest the Union Pacific was coming towards me right into my picture. I took quite a few pictures as the train passed by and was very pleased with the results. I picked my favorite to post today. I believe the train made for a much more interesting picture. The Great Salt Lake and Antelope Island make up the background.

Good morning everyone. Great, great start. Thanks to everyone who commented on my spider last week, it was much appreciated!
I don't like bugs at all, but some how since I have decided to try macro, spiders are all I seem to find!!
This weeks, photo is of a VERY tiny spider. The body could not have been 1/8" long. The color on the web is what caught my eye. I could not get as close or the angle I would have liked without disturbing his web. This is ther under side. With my naked eye, all I could really make out was this orange color almost glowing in the dark and the orange specks on the web also glowing. His web was under the eve of the house by a dark green bush, no sun on it, raining and very windy.
The photo is under exposed to show how the colors almost glowed in the dark. Look at the design on this guy. Nature is really something!
It is 100% crop, D300 60mm 2.8D micro , 200 ISO f3.2/1/125 , tripod. No processsing other than crop.

00Uk6d-180293784.jpg.0e7833b96ebe9c4c92052066c1608462.jpg

My wife and I got away last weekend to see some fall color and get a few last casts in before putting the boat away for the winter. There was an old broken down wagon near the cabin we stayed in and my better half agreed to pose for me.

Good Morning WedNEsDAy lovers...
A lot of amazing works so far.

Rene' Villela - please accept my sincere apology, should you have taken any offence on the comments I made about your work last WedNEsDAy. No doubt on your skills and the fruit that blossoms out of them.

Unlike most of you, my contribution this week is from an indoor experimenting at my make-shift studio at home over the last weekend...

Lake O'Hara, Alberta. Unintentional 2-shot stitch -- I couldn't get both the shoreline and mountain top in a single shot, but found that I had two I could stitch once I got home. The stitching was so easy I think I will do more of it in future!
