The general guidelines for these Thursday threads are right here. Remember: only one image each week!

Look at that, for the second week in a row, over 100 posts in last week's Thursday thread. Well done everyone! But there's a sad note as well, this will be my last week starting the Thursday threads (at least until the next person gets sick of it). Next week there will be a brand new face welcoming you each week. And if you are really REALLY lucky, they won't make you look at photos of their kids every week.

I, however, will make you do that. I had the Lensbaby Composer on my camera because I'm writing a 'gadgets & gizmos' article about the close-up lenses for it. So I thought I'd take a few photos of my kid and his grandma. If you like kids and blurry toy-camera images, you'll like the photo. If you don't...well you can just cram it. Canon T1i Lensbaby Composer Double-Glass optic.

As for the rest of you, let's see what you've got.

danferrin
This past Sunday morning, I went out looking for a bald eagle that has been seen on occasion in a local park. The eagle wasn't there, but the light was nice, and I drove past this beautifully landscaped farm.
Canon EOS 50D with EF20mm f2.8 ISO 100, 1/50 at f 7.1

wegner
This week gave lots of pictures, I even have hard time choosing which picture should go to the thread. I was walking in the 'far north wooded park' as Ken put it. It happens the park is just across the road from my home. And I met this funny doggy who was interested in two things: to fetch the ball his master has thrown and understand what I, a stranger to him, was doing. mbkissel
Another thread here, in a different forum, inspired me to go back to a familiar place to shoot a familiar scene, yet again. However, this time, the light looked a little better than it usually does and I was very pleased with the results. (Thanks for the inspiration, Walter!) Josh, you nailed the Lensbaby pic!

kerri_albano
I had the pleasure this week of being the photographer for the Enfield Dog Park's Dogtober Fest. This event is put on each October to raise money to build a dog park here in my home town. The Committee in charge is doing this all on their own in order to pay for the dog park with NO expense to the tax payers in town. They have vendors come in, demonstrations by the local police department and local dog training facilities, contests and of course pet portraits! I was there for 6 hours taking pet portraits and all the money raised from the session fee ($5.00 each) went straight to the dog park! I had a great time meeting new people and furry friends as well.
This little guy was just too cute, his name is Thor. He is a Chihuahua, Italian Greyhound, Pit Bull mix (yeah I didn't know what to say about that either LOL).

ds_meador
Not too much photography going on this week. Spring has sprung in South America so yard work and planting flowers has taken up a lot of time this week. Here's a quick shot of a spider on the leaf of a lemon tree. Some crop in Picasso 3.

wmervine
Been experimenting some more of late. Both with doing closeups with a telephoto to create a small DOF, and with Elements to combine photos. Got it done, but my brain hurts!
And for the record, that EF-S 50-250 is one hell of a lens for the money.
