  1. Mike, some great looking images from that Cinestill/Kodak Double X. I'll need to get me a few rolls of this. And try it out. Makes some beautiful images.
  2. I find old Brassy Nikon F, and F2 cameras, with a ding or three the most beautiful. These cameras say to me, "Run film through me, I won't let you down". Take reasonable care of me, when I need it. I have character. I worked to take pictures, I have battle scars like you do. I will love you back and serve you the best way I know how. I'm tough, I am authentic, I lived through battle. I am here for you, I have your back. Please have mine back in return.
  3. Mike, I would like to see the 27.5 foot short bulk roll idea make a comeback. That would be a great size load for those who shoot a moderate amount of film. But want to try different emulsions.
  4. Had similar issues with disraeli gears cycling with an adaptive group recently. The pictures were sure nice I took that outing. Glad you enjoyed the Fujica ST 605N.
  5. Thank you! Appreciate these tips. Plan on enjoying mine and running a test roll of film. More to come!
  6. I hope to join you. Not quite a Contax II, but close. Shares tooling. I now own a Kiev 4a of my own. 50 mm/f2 Jupiter 8 lens. How do you rewind film?
  7. Mike, Mine is used manually and with my Gossen Luna Pro meter. But my meter does function on mine in shutter priority. I love mine for the fact that it's the smallest 35 mm with a rangefinder, manual mode, and the most useful features in a camera it's size. Metered manual is the only lacking feature.
  8. I hope to finish a roll of Fuji Superia 400 in my Olympus 35 RC. And try to start a test roll in my new to me, Kiev 4A, with a 50 mm/f2 Jupiter-8 lens.
  9. I like how these images look just fine. Reminds me of the classic Black & White look with nice classic Zeiss or Leitz glass. Your photos are superb. Keep them coming.
  10. Here's an image for the 7th. Konica Auto S2, 45 mm/f1.9 Hexanon lens. I shot the image at f/8, 1 1/125 second, on Fujicolor Superia 400 film, using my Gossen Luna Pro meter. Enjoy!
  11. Loved Tennis in High School. Play in my wheelchair when I have the opportunity. Enjoy it as always.
  12. Maybe, but still an excellent manual focus option.
  13. This Nikon is excellent if you want a motor winder. Big thing. AutoFocus speed on this model is laughably slow. Mount a nice AI or AIS manual focus lens on it, which doesn't need mirror lockup (Series E will even do fine). Focus it manually, it's a nice camera, and Bob's yer uncle. 2020 is known as Rover, a Dog of an AF camera. Manually focused, it's a nice camera.
  14. Why not an image for June 6th. Shot this with my Olympus 35RC, 45 mm/f2.8 Zuiko lens. Used Fujicolor Superia 400 film, f5.6, 1 60th second exposure. Used my Gossen Luna-Pro meter.
  15. Here's another image, enjoy! I used my Konica Auto S2, with Konica Hexanon 45 mm/f 1/8 lens. f8, 1/125 second. I used Fujicolor Superia 400 film, and my Gossen Luna Pro meter.
  16. Here's one more image for you folks. Olympus 35RC, 45 mm/f 2.8 Zuiko lens. 1/125 second, f8, Fuji Superia 400 film was used, with my Gossen Luna Pro meter.
  17. Here's some images from that Konica Auto S2, it's maiden roll. Hexanon 45 mm/f/1.8 lens. Fujicolor Superia 400 film,f/5.6, 1/125 second
  18. According to a well known Yashica repairman I knew, the 124-G tooling sustained a lot of wear and tear over that 16 year production run.
  19. The more I use my example, the more I like it. My favorite rangefinder compact out of those I've owned. The perfect street camera for me.
  20. If you dislike it that much, I do adopt Yashica TLR. And I miss mine so much it hurts. And yes, like you I like the older ones better. Enjoy yours.
  21. My favorite Olympus compact is the 35 RC. (I shoot a lot of film with mine) I love both the OM-1 and OM-2 (though I have never owned one myself). I love non Selenium metered Olympus Pen half frame cameras, and love the Pen F SLR family.
  22. I love both cameras when working right. But favor the FM by a bit, and also the FM is all mechanical which also for me is bonus points. I love the FE very well, too. Sover Wong might be able to repair your FE.
  23. 1. Leica M3 2. Nikon F 3. Nikon F2 4. Canon F1 5. Kodak Retina IIa
