  1. Got my Canon 50 mm/f2.8. And loaded up some Fujicolor 400 film in my Canon L1, and shooting a test roll!
  2. I have a new to me Canon L1 LTM Rangefinder classic. I should in a few days have a period mate Canon 50 mm/f1.8 LTM lens. And hope next week to run a roll of Fujicolor 400 through it as it's maiden roll. The right amount of loving use (tripod socket on the L1 has some scars around it). I look very forward to using it and enjoying it's maiden roll. A longtime dream camera of mine. Barnack with Canon improvements and original design ideas inspired from the M3. Plenty of Barnack DNA throughout. Elegance!
  3. Thank you. I now own a Canon L1, and have a 50 mm/f1.8 lens on it's way to me. That 35 mm/f2.8 is a superb lens.
  4. Love the results you are getting with that Canon P. Which lens are you using? Your images are a joy to see always.
  5. Here's some Scale Focus photos. Kodak Retina 1b, Schneider Xenar 50 mm/f 2.8 lens. Ilford XP2 film. I used my Gossen Luna Pro F light meter.
  6. I love this photo. Nice taste in composition, and nice taste in HiFi equipment. Love this McIntosh (I own one myself)
  7. I agree with you partially. The Contax bayonet mount was in practice fiddly, as there was inner and outer bayonet mounts. A single bayonet mount like Leica adopted with the M3 of 1954 would have been superior. The Leica in practice was the superior camera in practical use, as it was a better system, easier to grip, easier to operate outside of the fiddly loading from the bottom.
  8. Here is a funny, but also true photo. Nikomat FTn, 50 mm/f1.4 Nikkor lens, Fujicolor Superia 400 film. F5.6-1/250 second exposure. I used my Gossen Luna-Pro F light meter. The PotHole was exactly what the sign said!
  9. I call this the "Snub Nose" Nikkor. Very compact, very incognito looking. Elegant photo, Niels!
  10. Yashica-Mat original model in EX Plus condition. Leica IIIc beater with 50mm, f2 Summar (Uncoated). The latter had a shutter repair by the late, much missed, Wayne Setser of the former The Camera Works in Knoxville, TN!
  11. I shot this photo on a Kodak Retina 1b scale focus camera with a Schneider Xenar 50 mm/f2.8 lens. f8 at 1/250 second using Ilford XP2 Plus Film. Old drugstore, Wartburg, TN!
  12. Some shots recently made. Shot these with a Nikomat FTn. 50 mm/f1.4 Nikkor Lens. Fujicolor Superia Extra film. Enjoy!
  13. Operationally, I prefer the VI-L (as I like lever wind best) to the VI-T (which has trigger wind from the bottom). I'd be proud to own either camera, as I like Canon Rangefinders. And have admired them for many years. I have a Canon L-1 on it's way to me (a dream which will soon be fulfilled). Leica screw mount done better than Leica itself did, with useful features Leica didn't offer in the III series. Keep the camera, enjoy shooting pictures, get a good light meter. Be proud of the legacy left to you, to preserve and enjoy!
  14. I call this the ideal Leica for me. It's already pre-banged up. So spastic me has no anxiety using one like this for running miles of film through it. Rock it!
  15. I agree with this highly. Have shot some images on film. Need to get out and shoot some more images. Great for mind, body, and soul. Enjoy the journey. Photography is therapy.
  16. I am trying to get myself healed up and moving better. I empathize with you. Excellent images, I enjoyed viewing them. Glad you're doing better.
  17. McIntosh really belongs in more luxurious vehicles than a Grand Wagoneer. Mike, have you ever heard Mcintosh at home.? I have and enjoy it daily. It's nice and musical.
  18. Where can I find a take up spool for my example easily. I'd like to run a roll of film through it. I love it quirks and all. Thanks!
  19. Love that view. More hiking than what Cerebral Palsy, spinal defects, and my short leg/hip would put up with. Not friendly for wheelchair users. I wish I could get to that view, and shoot some of my own Spastic Images.
  20. I hope I am bringing some new life, and enthusiasm to this forum. This forum has inspired me, to return to film photography. And has given me inspiration to do what I enjoy, to find my niche (and my adaptive nature around physical and other challenges). You have revitalized my creativity, and have encouraged me on so very much.
  21. 1974 Malibu (nice photo of it). 1975 Malibu had the rectangular headlights.
  22. The earliest generation Nikon AF cameras had very slow, very lacking in response AF compared to say, the Minolta Maxxum AF SLR by comparison. The Nikon AF 2020 is best used as a manual focus SLR, to name an example.
  23. Or the damage the Gossen Luna-Pro gets when a person with Cerebral Palsy has muscles with a mind of their own, which cause him to fall on top of his Luna-Pro. Mine had a moving coil meter which didn't work afterwards. My fault, I admit it. But I got a nice Luna-Pro F as an upgrade out of it. Which I enjoy using, now that I understand how to use it.
  24. Yesterday, I ran a few frames of Fujicolor Superia Extra 400 film through my Nikomat FTn, and my Nikkor 50 mm/f 1.4 lens. And using my new to me Gossen Luna Pro F. Felt good in hand, enjoyed this. Will consider using that Nikomat FTn some more this weekend. And I enjoy that Gossen Luna Pro F early Christmas gift.
  25. A note: Best use for a Nikon N2020, is for manual focus AI and AI-S lenses. It's AF system is slow. Nikon got their AF SLR act really together with the N6008 and N8008 cameras.
