  1. OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA
  2. Looking good. Bear in mind you have equally nice lenses to find. Gonna get costy. Especially if you decide on KL lenses ( Optically the same as RZ 67 but RB fit intended for the Pro SD version ) Those sell for a premium.. And as far as I am aware that range does not include a 50mm in KL form.
  3. Aftermarket lenses are dirt cheap but MOST are pretty much garbage Canon FD on the other hand. Hard to go wrong.
  4. No idea No link. Body and back ? it's the lens does the work.
  5. Mines a L-308 S with flash capability takes a single AA battery very happy with it. Only MINOR gripe the flash trigger socket cover has no cord on it I added one
  6. Oh I did not say not to use a flash meter if you have one. Just a digital camera gets the job done too.
  7. Makes the camera easily carried in one hand instead of having to carry it in a folded arm THAT DOES MY BLOODY BACK IN. I find no problem using the grip tho firing the shutter with left hand is a little odd.
  8. Light seals are the bigest bugbear of the RB. Lickiliy mine from ebay is completly fine. Just a little scruffy but bought at bit scruffy money . More than impressed with her. I find a LH trigger grip makes her much more suitable to carry about for street photoigraphy, especially with the VERY HEAVY prism. .
  9. Wrong. A digital camera works the very best to check exposure for studio work and instrumental in checking your lighting these days. Polaroid now obsolete and if you can get it FAR TOO EXPENSIVE Making a digital camera on a film shoot invaluable.
  10. I use a Sekonic L-308S second hand ebay purchase. Good wee meter. Previously I used old vintage meters but the Sekonic is far more consistant. Plus it has a flash meter.
  11. Good luck in your quest RB67 Pro S is a superb bit of kit ,a beast.. Have one.
  12. To take it apart place it on a hard surface. (an anvil works well). Hit rit really hard with a large hammer keep hitting till lens flies apart. Then buy a proper FD. ;-)
  13. Echoing others here. Get a proper Canon FD In either bayonet or breech lock. Just got a 28mm f2.8 breech lock myself for the F1. Went f2.8 because the price was the factor here. 5 other cameras mostly medium format to support.. Good luck.
  14. RB's are as tough as an old anvil. Yes they do weigh about the same too.. I have 1 electronic MF The Bronica SQA. Electronics DO CAUSE PROBLEMS. I know this. Can old electronic cameras like the RZ or SQA be fixed USUALLY NOT.
  15. Ftbn was my first SLR camera (1980's) used it for years loved it.. Now have an F1 New with winder and AE finder. Cracking camera tho still more biased towards medium format with my RB67 Pro S, a Bronica SQA and a rather lovely red lizard skin Mamiya C33. Oh and a Canon A1 as well. Not enough arms.
  16. Oh I know from having spares for old Triumph cars the threat of having spares usually pays off. SKUDS SELF.
  17. Thanks all. The new ebay tube arrived safely. Hopfully the pure threat of having a spare will keep the 2 1000's and the 750 working without issue. No hurt in having a spare as new tubes for these are getting hard to find and expensive, not going to get any easier either...
  18. Thanks. UV tubes are easily acailable for the DX1000 or 750 but ONE new UV tube is even more than the cost of the two strobes. Also the prices I found on tubes are for a later model The right ones are not cheap at all. Found a brand new one from one ebay seller AT THE RIGHT MONEY. so now have a spare for my two 1000's and my 750. Plus I have two 600w Chinese heads to back em up. 1000 W X 2 & a 750 is more than I really need anyway. Bigger is better Right ?
  19. Update. New tubes are available and are reasonably afordable. Might buy one as a spare.. Bonus. Same tube will fit my 750 Bowens Gemini plus as well.
  20. Bougt a pair of Bowens DX1000's recently, VERY cheap. The both work absoloutly fine. The flash tubes in both are starting to blacken at one end of each tube.. Is failure iminent ? Or will they go on a while with irregular use. I know. How long is a piece of string ?
