Donald Harpold replied to Donald Harpold's topic in Classic Manual Film Cameras
Hello All Well I got the helicoid free and smooth I reinstalled the lens assy and locked up. So looks like the focus on the lens is locked also, Can I soak the entire assy in alcohol? Or any other suggestions short of taking apart? Thanks Don -

Latest update I used a heat gun, like a hair dryer, and that freed it up. That was earlier today, I just went out and it is tightening up again. I will try some lube when it gets here. Thanks Don -

Thank You both I figured a slow film as that is what was available back then. The Manual did mention something about the ASA that I glossed over until I was ready to shoot. Thanks again Don -
Hello I found the above camera in original box with directions and was wondering what speed film would be best to use due to the two speed shutter Thanks for any advice Don

Hello All I recently received the above camera that is in excellent condition except that the take up film spool carrier is missing and I think one of the little posts is missing as well. If any one has this part or parts or knows of a place I can get them I would appreciate it. Thanks Don

Minolta SRT 202 and lenses
Donald Harpold replied to Donald Harpold's topic in Classic Manual Film Cameras
Hello Thanks, I did find the 58mm 1.2 on the bay, I was searching with the X and none came up The SRT202 and the three lenses cost me 150.00 so the 58mm is about twice that so got a good deal. Thanks Don -
Hello All Question more on the lenses or the one lens I can not find anything on the "bay" about, the camera is in pristine condition as are the lenses It came with a Rokkor-X 50mm 1.7 and a Rokkor 100mm 2.5 and the one I need info on is a Rokkor-X 58mm 1.2 I know the 1.2 lenses are more expensive but since I can't find it is it rare as well Thanks Don

Did I ruin the developer
Donald Harpold replied to Donald Harpold's topic in The Wet Darkroom: Film, Paper & Chemistry
Not really sure how you could leave backing paper with the film and install on reel? I have had prerinse come out black or dark when doing BW film, I have found this on different films, no one else? Thanks Don -
Did I ruin the developer
Donald Harpold replied to Donald Harpold's topic in The Wet Darkroom: Film, Paper & Chemistry
Thank you both, I have only used the kit once, the developer looked fine when I poured it out of the brown glass bottle I use for storage that are filled to top. The film was a roll of Kodak 200 Gold, I think, and a roll of Ferrania Solaris 800, which I think may have been the problem. It was expired in 2011 and I didn't think about remjet or know if they used remjet on this film. If it was remjet can I still use the kit or dump the whole thing? Thanks Again for the help Don -
Hello I was developing C41 with a Cinestill kit and as using 35mm I did not prerinse the the film and when I dumped the developer back in to the bottle it was black like the prerinse on 120 film is when you dump So just wondering if the developer is done for? Also I got nothing on the negatives they were all blank and dark. This was my second batch of C41 I have tried the first came out ok Thanks Don
