  1. Hello Just a question on Wein Cells, do they need to be refrigerated, and do they really last a year as claimed on some sites? Thanks Don
  2. Thanks all This one doesn't have the remote release in the back but does have the cable release as do the other lenses that came with it The solenoid is not even attached to the shutter release so I will remove it hello Dan I have an old pack of Tri-x and a film pack adapter, I am sure they are not available any longer but I am watching a Grafmatic have you used one and is it worth purchasing one. Thanks Don
  3. Thanks All The FTN metered prism is in excellent condition so I may look into getting repaired based on the prices of the unmetered black prisms. I do have two Cris units on the way and have ordered some more EPX625 for the Nikomat I did figure out how to mount the lens so they are coupled, took a minute to figure out. Don
  4. Hello I purchased a couple of "new" cameras one a Nikomat FTn with the 50mm 1.4 for 10.00 which appears in very good condition, I installed a new old Varta 625 1.35v battery and the meter was way off so I tried an epx625 1.5 akaline and the meter seems to be on, does it sound like it was redone for the 1.5v battery? The second one is a black body Nikon F, and a 50mm 1.4 and a 28mm 2, with an FTN finder, is there a known issue with these as the one on the camera does not function, I have installed the two Varta 625 1.35v batteries and get nothing, is there a place to get repaired if necc. Another thought could I be doing something wrong, I know how to turn the meter on, does it take a certain lens, the ones I have seem to couple with the pin. Thanks Don
  5. Hello I picked up a Graflex Century Graphic 2 1/4 3 1/4 this weekend and had a question, it has a solenoid on the front standard, I have read this is for flash and as I do not intend to ever use flash with this camera can I remove from the camera. Thanks Don
  6. Hello Alfonso I also have a IIIc and a I type 126 both made the journey to NZ for service. Both came back great and the turn around wasn't bad and the I was sent down in April-June of 2020 so there was some delays due to the covid. If it needs service I would strongly recommend sending it down.
  7. Hello Been awhile since I have been able to shoot, with the local fires and whatnot, but I received my Retina I Type 119, made between 1936 and 1938, back from Chris Sherlock so I thought I would put a short roll through it to check it out. The film is HP5 developed in HC110 B. Note some of my focus is a little off due to the zone focus thing, but still I am happy with the results, and I was dealing with very bright sun, contrasty, so anyway here goes.
