I took a chance and bought this on E-Bay. The glass is amazingly clean and clear no haze fungus scratches or cleaning marks. What puzzles me is that it displays slight iridescence as if coated. I don't believe that LEITZ was coating lenses of that year. Can anyone offer an explanation for the colors? I have older ZEISS glass that is bloomed however have never heard that LEITZ glass undergoes the process. The photo was made under overcast grey skies so there is no blue present.

I have used both and found the CONTAX IIIa a bit harder to become accustomed to ergonomically while my 3F feels and is better handling especially for fast shooting. I loved my CONTAX however sold it in favor of my 3F.

You are spot on as to the size. It is on an IKOFLEX II 1937. It is a bit darker than appears in the photo I'm guessing at least one stop. Thank you for the further information.

Can anyone provide information about this filter, manufacturer approximate date possible rarity? It is a push on no threads.

IKOFLEX II wonderfully "bloomed" viewing and taking lenses. This filter was on a ROLLEICORD that I bought. I cannot find information about manufacturer or rarity. -
"Play toys"? I have for four decades used a 3f for street use as well as an M-3. Both are excellent street shooters and not at all "play toys".

I am not a collector thus do not want this. NOTE, I placed the lens on as an illustration, it is disassembled and needs repair. Glass is fairly clear, body cover rough in spots. Ship to U.S. only.as customs is too much to deal with.

Thank you. I was clueless about the film. -
Neat little camera but I am somewhat puzzled. It has two red windows but a single format which appears to be about two thirds 2 1/4

BUTCHER CARBINE bought on E-Bay. It looked interesting. Listing had 1 photo thus I had little idea what I was receiving and still do not. I cannot find info on the internet regarding rarity or potential value.

Please forgive the multiple images. I tried to cancel dupes with no success. Can someone tell me how? At age 81 some technology presents challenges. I need info about the camera. The rear opening measures 5 5/8"x 3 3/8" the spool 3 3/4". It also appears to take either a cartridge or a film holder, this measures 3 1/2" x 6 1/2 "
