    Not so much limited to the AF-D lenses, but the pro-level lenses with apertures of f2.8 or faster. You could say it was pretty much a 1990s thing. Eric Sande

    20-35mm f/2.8D, 80-200mm f/2.8 AF lenses (both the push-pull and two ring). Some of the early AF-S lenses had it - 28-70 and 80-200, but the 17-35 of the same era did not. Eric Sande

    My first SLR was a Nikon N4004s. It didn't win my award for "worst" because of functionality, but usability. When shooting in Program, Shutter or Aperture modes there was no exposure information. The only way to know the exposure info was to use Manual mode, in which case you'd use "+ o -". Eric Sande

    Gosh, I haven't used my Coolscan IV in a long time. I bought it in 2003 and by 2007 it wouldn't work with Nikon Scan anymore. The software wouldn't recognize the scanner attached to the computer. I bought forever-updates of VueScan but have only used it for flatbed scanning the last couple computer upgrades.

    Yes, the postage instructions are outdated. It took a very long time for Fuji to correct that. I've always shipped 2-3 rolls in a larger envelope for ~$1.50 First Class.

    F3 stuff is kind of hot right now - I started a thread in the Nikon forum about it. Maybe not the accessories, though. I've had an F3 with standard viewfinder for a few years and last year acquired an F3HP that belonged to a deceased family member. I put the standard F3 on eBay and it sold for $177.50. Meanwhile, the venerable FM/FE cameras are still dirt cheap.

    They are fetching $35-40 on eBay so I figured $40 including shipping was fair.

    I purchased this new and never really used it. Type P features a 45 degree split prism and crosshairs for alignment. $40.00 includes USPS First Class shipping with tracking, US only please.

    I didn't really check this thread completely but there is a photo of the bottom of the camera, and you can see an arm that engages the wind mechanism. You just have to move it out of the way and then wind the lever (in 95% of cases). It happened to my FE2 once. Eric Sande FM2n - help with film advance lever

    I bought a non-VC Tamron 17-50 on local Craigslist almost 1 year ago. A D7000 with the lens had been listed forever so I asked if the seller would take $140 for just the lens (the average selling price on eBay at the time). I couldn't be happier with the lens - sharp and I swear the colors are more vibrant without any in-camera adjustment. Eric Sande

    Awhile back there was a very long thread about film or something and someone (maybe you) posted a YouTube link to that young couple with the Wild We Roam channel. I've ended up following that ever since.

    So many great film cameras cannot be given away these days. You can easily get a Nikon N90/s or N8008/s for US$10 or $20 on eBay. Today I checked sold listings on eBay and F3 bodies are selling from US$200 to as much as $400. Where did THAT come from?!     In the posted photo(s) I see a camera with no eyepiece installed. Nothing is "backwards" except for the image of the backside of the eye cup.     I watched "Kodachrome" last night. Predictable storyline, a bit slow but I liked some parts. Since they were using a real scenario, I quickly looked up to see if that was really "Dwayne" toward the end. I think "Camera Store" is still on Netflix. I liked that film overall; kind of fun to remember what mall stores like Ritz and Wolf Camera were like. Eric Sande

    When I had an F4s I never used the DX setting because there was no way to confirm the ISO unless you had a flash with LCD readout attached. I've never heard of any camera mis-reading the code and using the wrong ISO, but I just preferred to not leave it to chance. Eric Sande
