One more thing PaT if the new metal film holder changes the factory distance from the film plane to the rear lens element even slightly (like 3mm) this will cause your rangefinder and inf. focus to be off a little. I can;t tell from the photos though. Its a really easy thing to fix and a great thing to know. Just make a ghetto frosted glass from Cd or tape holder case plastic and polish one side slightly with fine steel wool. check out the link too for details http://www.rolandandcaroline.co.uk/focadj.html

I'm always shooting tmax or tri-x 35mm and 120
I'm wondering what other strange effects I can get out of this film
(i.e. wrong or homemade developers) Anyone have info on this?

Hi janet / Do a search on "holgamods" you'll find all kinds of cool tips besides tripod mounts..

Steve: Masking tape and a little foam can go a long way

I've had 16mm kodak movie film in my freezer for a very long time
dated 1996. The label is torn off so the only detail I know is that
its kodak (hint of yellow kodak label)
It must be KODAK EKTACHROME 100D or KODACHROME 40 Movie Film..right?
I currently shoot 35mm in my holga for fun and now I'm realizing I can
do the same with this 16mm (loaded in the dark of coarse) But I lack
the proper chemicals for this type processing. I know this must seem
crazy but is there any way to develop this with standard BW chemistry
like d-76? Yes I'm asking for a miracle and my results if any will
look grainy but hey its 400' of free film? Any tips?

Dammnn now I want one to play with..watch out ebay
-
Hey pat if if do go the 4x5 route I have atleast one 4x5 film holder and
4x5 color slide and Plus-x BW. 4x5 would be cool but you would need special developing holders etc.. But man 4x5 with that sweet light drop off. Imagine a Super Holga

This sounds like a projector promblem to me/ If you can try other projectors do so / check around Thrift Shops or even your relatives attic
-
Nevermind that link is not for 120 film conversion its just for using new Polaroid film packs..blah
-
True but he already owns this one? Why spend more money?? plus he can practice on this "lower end" model and maybe work on something pricy in the future. I mean damn I'll take a FREE 6x9 holga anyday

If you did can I have em' ;)

That link is for the 150 model dude you know have a cool project!

I can't tell from the pics but I belive (if you're willing) I think this camera could take 120 film after a dremel tool/ Imagine 6x9 negs..ohhh Dig up an old 120 spool and see how much you have in there. And wow is that a rangefinder? cool
Somewhere out there in the internet world I found a website with Polaroid tips for 120 conversions. If I find it I'll post it for ya'

I now own a simnple flatbed scanner with backlit neg scanning options.
What should I know (dpi, color bits etc) and what formats do most labs
need? I want the best picture I can get from low end one hour photo labs
Thanks -wes

Check out this link first it goes over tools needed for basic camera repair and then read through the whole site, it's good stuff

They may not cover your camera but they'll cover the basics on classic camera repair. Lighter fluid (yellow bottle made for Zippos) is the BEST gummy grease remover but only apply it with a screwdriver tip or a needle never, never, never just pour it in the camera!

Right on Mike that's how I feel, I have this lens in my hand, it's clean outside and in, no haze, dust etc. I would simply test this lens rather than ask questions but my darkroom is under repair and I won't be printing for several weeks. I seems to be NO info online for this lens which surprises me compared to the Moskva, Kiev and Fed fan pages out there
-
Cool thanks guys, I did figure the raptar was on the up side. And I know I should simply do a few test prints rather than ask questions but my darkroom isn't complete and it will be a few months before I start printing again.

Oh and the Wollensak is a Raptar
-
I have two cheapo enlarger lenses, 75mm 4.5 Wollensak and a 75mm
OMEGAR rodenstock 4.5, Anyone have info one which would be best for
6x6 printing?
-
Is this a good lens for 6x9 work? I'll only be printing Moskva negs so
I figure a russian camera / russain enlarger lens can't be a bad lineup.
I can't find any reviews on this make and model. If anyone has links
of info please let me know.
details.

I came accross this photo online I wish I knew who shot this.
This "look" is something I've wanted to capture for a loooong time.
I'm pretty sure this was shot with a holga. But as far as toning and
developing I'm lost? How would one get these results? What options are
out there. What options are out there for plain old tri-x and t-max
