Hi Raymond, this is a very beautiful nude portrait. What stands out is the quality of "escutural" beauty, of her toned muscles, it is like if we were staring at a classic sculpture. I find constructive that there is always something to accompany a nude, like an extra, that it's not only the fact of not wearing any clothes and I'd like to notice here: - The proper use of light, which helps to define more her bodily beauty - And my favorite detail: her thoughtful gesture expressed in her hand over her head. This subtle gesture conveys a plus which leads us to think about, while enjoying it. I'd not have used a texture in the final presentation in this image, but it's just a matter of personal taste. However, very well accomplished here. Congratulations, kindest regards, Laura.

Hi Jörg, the best in this portrait is the sort of... "abstraction in her eyes," she's, let's say, on another level ... her mind is embeded in what she's hearing on the headphones, her lonely stare talks about this fact. The eyes are key to transmit the time off that we all have, throughout the day. Her light hair, her ponytail contrasts beautifully with the background out of our vision. Very good use of monochrome. The title helps us to better look at this portrait, very well chosen. Congrats, Kindest regards, Laura.
  3. Hi Saad, this image engages due to movement, faces disfigured attract our interest ... I feel the feeling of giddiness and maelstrom, as a great power that engulfs us, in the way this human tide is shown. The stranger is precisely the one who is outside of "this current" who looks around ... and perhaps even does not understand. Very successful use of B & W, it makes everything homogeneous, like water in the sea, but in this case a sea with currents :) Congrats, a very appealing image. Kindest regards, Laura.

    Collegiates

There is much harmony in this image due to the symmetry of the bodies of collegiates: their legs, their arms ... are located in identical positions. Even the dark zone within the arms, is heart-shaped (!) And there is tension, too ... in the use of (high) light in the center, all attention is directed toward the light. The use of light in this image is extraordinary :) Very good sharpness and choice of B & W helps eliminate any distractions, such that their sports body T-shirts were of a different color, it'd break the spell achieved. Congrats!. Light is key in this photo. Kindest regards, Laura.

Hi Matthew, thank you very much for the compliment, you make me feel very proud of the work made here. The truth is that... at night, when I switched off the computer screen with the image ready to be published ... I was a little afraid... because I contemplated it as I had thought and because the sandals hold in her hands are "real old ones", as described in the short story that accompanies this image. I felt great respect. Thank you very much for your visit, much appreciated. Kindest regards, Laura

Thank you Jörg, for your visit and for all... Yes, this image has to do something with what you're saying... just... to fly with our minds... I'm glad you've liked it, I'll pay a visit to your images, too. Thanks and kindest regards, Laura.

Thank you very much Raymond, The most interesting thing for me is the entrancement of the woman in her reflection in water and the reflection itself. Your visit is much appreciated. Kindest regards, Laura.

*** Poor girl, with an unlived life, sleeping now in eternal rest. Your story only exists in thoughts, no clutch so short ... I don't know what to do with your pretty sandals, shriveled with time. Anything material can't be taken beyond with us. No faces, no smiles. No longer it makes sense. I can only look at them, showing the end of an unlived life. *** Please, enlarge to better appreciate colors and details! Thank you! :)

Hi Vlad, I think the composition is perfect, I really like the vanishing point to the right, which exquisitely guides our sight. The choice of monochrome is very good, if not perhaps there would be too many distractions. Very good chosen perspective and excellent sharpness. Congrats, Vlad! All my best! Laura
  16. Hi Wobby, this is my favorite, of your series with these birds, no doubt. For two reasons: Just birds' beaks are together, like a kiss of eternal love :) There is an inherent romanticism to the image that will always triumph. And what makes me choose this shot are the two red spots on their chests. Here are perfectly symmetrical: proud, red breasts. Very good sharpness. It's a moment of intimacy, very well captured. Congratulations for your patience and know-how. Con cariño, Laura.

Hi Vlad, thanks for your visit to this image. Colors attract me very much in photography and lights. In this image, particularly... I sought for a feeling of "timelessness", a strange sentiment that could turn over time. So when you offer this cool summary of "Love, Death and Art", maybe I achieved my goal :) above all for the use of the word "death". Your trio words, remind me of "Sex, Love and Rock and Roll". Hope the trio found here could be as appealing as the well-known one. Thanks for all... very kind of you! Vlad. Kindest regards, Laura.

Hi Wobby, your comment is very beautiful and special for me, it puts a big smile on my face :) Thank you very much for your very positive impressions. Your appreciation is very important. For me, Art... is like a "field of wheat spikes" I mean, imagine you are walking between ears of grain; there are high ones, low, greener, more yellow, golden ones ... some of them let you see the landscape, but others not; some are wheat, others similar in appearance are wild herbs ... it's very difficult to decide, separate or discern the extent of the field, its true value. That happens to those who live immersed in the creations of every day life, who are living a concrete daily existence. Every day in their quest to understand the world, people create beautiful works, but for me ... only with the passage of time is possible to have an accurate and objective impression of the whole created. Imagine now... there comes a time when you can see the same field of wheat spikes from outside, standing on a hill, you'll have a more global vision to judge and surely will appreciate things you didn't know before. The biggest enemy for creators is time that does not allow them to see "their ears" from the hill because they simply do not live enough. I have to apologize for this explanation, but it's how I feel it and I liked to say. This way I feel Art and also when "an emotional need is fulfilled" a vacuum is changed into an existence, a well-being ... then the origin that produces it, certainly could be judged as Art. I hope this image will fullfil many vacuums and it's a piece of me, many times I'm with a blank expression on my face or lost thoughts. Like searching for an internal peace that I lack. I'll visit your images, I gladly will. Heartfelt thanks for your visit and for all. You've made me very happy. Con cariño, Laura

Hi Jim, do not worry! because the same thing happens to me, first of all I just think about the southern part of my country, I'm convinced the same thing happens to all of us :) The area of southern Spain is very emblematic due to its art, folklore and cheerful and open character of its inhabitants. The dress is not a family heirloom ... it's a gift from my husband. It's made in Seville, a well-known brand clothing Roal S.L. I'm not a fan of any clothing brand, but I like things well done and they're artists in dealing with dressing women in flamenco. The bodice is also embroidered so I'll use it more in another image: you've got to forgive me!. Thank you very much for your visit and for everything!. Kindest regards, Laura

Thank you Gianni! I've been having a rest but... couldn't stop doing what I love best "working on images" :-) Yes, I agree with you, it has got an old flavour, I wanted to play with smoke, even though I don't smoke. It reminds me of scenes in films in B&W. Glad you've liked it. Thanks for your visit. Kindest regards, Laura.

Yes... Tony...it's true what you're imagining, there're a lot of religious symbols around. The stairs at my right go to a secret place, below my feet... there's something quite obscure and difficult to guess and... and... the crack to my left is of a grid / trapdoor leading to a sinister place ahhh! A beautiful story could be written! Thanks a lot for your visit, much appreciated. very grateful! Con cariño, Laura. http://www.lauramarco.es/grid.jpg
