<p><br />I like all answers above.<br /> <br /> I hate to name my photographs, even more subtitles. But sometimes it is needed to classify.<br /><br />As I do mostly street photography I hear a lot the phrase "what's the story ? She looks so sad (or happy), she looks like expecting something, these boys look so sad (it was a happy parade) ...." things like that. I use to answer friendly and smiling "That's the story, you just said" and it give more mistery and they pay more attention, but mind opened because sometimes my photographs have a story. When there is a good listener I tell then.<br /> <br /> Other photographers often on a exhibit ask for a different story, how did I get this scene or how did I process then, for me there is no answer for that, may be we can get together sometime and talk about photography.
