  1. Hi, Michael. I cropped out the bench because to me it’s crooked and overly bright becoming a focal point which draws the eye to the colorless area of the path and sort of visually ends the scene there. I’m sorry if I removed a memorial bench or a pleasant memory. Thank you for uploading the photo.
  2. Hmmm...not too fond of my chosen border here. I wanted soft edging and ended up with weird fog. Oh well, hopefully I managed to keep the scene sharp and emphasize the root system.
  3. There are no rules as to how you apply your post processing to this image; but, please let us know what you have done so we can all learn. If you would like to post a candidate image next week, please ensure it is of sufficiently high resolution for manipulation by the participants (3000px on the long side, 300dpi for example). Most of all, let's have fun while we are learning or demonstrating how we use our post-processing software, imaginations and interpretations. Here's one sooc from a trip to Montana.
  4. Las sirenas otra vez. (3ª versión) This time using the G'MIC free plugin (available finally for Windows this past year), Topaz Glow 2 and some channel mixer and saturation adjustments in PS.
  5. Second version: After my previous psychedelic iron-maiden mermaids, I decided to try B/W. I converted it using a PS panel called Infinite Black and White. It looked pretty good, but just before posting I wondered how Pixbim ColorSurprise AI (B/W-->Color) would handle it. I expected the usual cringe-worthy result, but this time it was ok. When it colored the rocks in front, it kept them pretty drab which seems to set them off nicely from the colorful background. I did increase the green sat. in PS a little.
  6. Mike, What a kind thing to say, thanks! Hey, I know nothing about boating. Are those people against the railing with the cords/poles helping to load/unload a boat in the water? Otherwise, I’m secretly hoping they are using huge joysticks to control the buoys and playing pac-man or frogger or something.
  7. My version: The illustrated, mildly color-graded and de-mosquitoed Mr. Froggy. Thanks for the upload, Sr. Punta.
  8. Last attempt! This time I focused on the kid trying to make him ready for the Mr. Demille closeup for the parents' family album.
  9. Topaz Remask to grab the guy off his roof, placed a free mountain under him, and three trips to Luminar AI for the moon, the extra mountain and the Cold Fire template.
  10. Turn on your lights, dude. It's getting dark! Lots of experimenting here. Started in Topaz Jpeg to Raw AI, Gigapixel AI x2 then reduced to original size, Topaz Detail, Luminar AI for the sky with a lot of adjustments there, in DXO Photolab, PS and ACR. Gradients for decreasing highlights, luminance map and PS brush work to rosy up the clouds.
  11. This attempt tries to give the illusion of an old photo. I added some dehaze and a replacement sky as part of the changes.
  12. I really like the foggy/blurry look of the original, so I tried to go with that.
  13. Hey, Glenn! Wouldn't that be fish sauce or sushi coming out of that narrow opening? Or, maybe they are just those crazy jumping carp? :)
  14. Oops! Sorry I messed up above. I decided to straighten horizon and timed out. "The sea was angry that day, my friends - like an old man trying to send back soup in a deli."

  16. Thanks for the practice, Glenn. I went through a lot of programs and plugins here trying to de-emphasize the parking lot a little and make things more old-timey and Native American-ish.
