  1. Here’s a challenge for someone with time on his/her hands and a desire to experiment: Find an orca photo online in a similar pose (or adjust with transformation) and put it over the orca skeleton Punta provided us. Then make the real orca layer semitransparent so that we see the external orca and his skeleton inside at the same time.
  2. It looks like bird comedy standup to me. Finally someone can legitimately say “I just flew in and boy are my arms tired!”
  3. Revision of my 2nd retouch above: I tried to place the bird on the Avatar planet Pandora in the Tree of Souls. And dang, if it doesn't look like some priest or avatar of Eywa herself has appeared in a purple tunic to the left of the bird.
  4. Punta! This is a stunning photo already. In the first version, I only tried to enhance the feathering on the bird a little without hopefully overdoing it and removed the maybe-it-is-maybe-it-isn’t white spot on the log. This second one uses a favorite effect of mine from Topaz 2 AI Remix. Thanks for uploading.
  5. THE DESERT AT NIGHT WHEN NO ONE IS LOOKING G’MIC “plasma” setting for original colors followed by many adjustments using ACR, blend modes and Hue/Sat in PS. Thanks, Glenn!
  6. Here's an abstract and charcoal effect that went through Topaz Simplify and a number of unremembered plugins.
  7. "Verde que te quiero verde." or possible alternate title Green Dreams of the Inanimate.
  8. On further reading, these pulley systems used to be fairly common. I had never seen something like that before. Please excuse the sidestep.
  9. Is there any specific meaning to the add-on metal device extending from the window? Lightning rod? Way of presenting an anchor token? A pulley apparatus to haul things upstairs? A fire escape exit? A substitute way down for Rapunzel if she gets a bob?
  10. Lots of great versions above, but I have to say I'm partial to Punta's retouch of his own photo. It's different and striking.
  11. Like Leslie and Punta, this time I tried to emphasize the angles and lines. This version went through Topaz Simplify, Topaz Neon, ACR toning adjustments, was converted to b/w and put in a thin frame. Gerald's moonlit version inspired me to take the backbround even darker.
  12. Here's a 2nd version. This time I used a choice from the old Topaz Impression 2 Plugin which seems to have way more presets than the version that goes with Topaz Studio 2.
  13. Haha...I know this version makes no sense, but I'm just experimenting with the Boris FX Optics trial before it expires.
  14. Oops, forgot to add steps. Decided I wanted to make doggie into a “lion.” Screen shot online of mane and tail which I turned into PNG files. Applied those to doggie as overlays adjusting as needed. Cut out doggie using Topaz Mask AI. Downloaded a free jungle-ish file. Dropped doggie onto his hill. Added a sky to replace the whiteout one using Luminar AI and fiddled with its placement and relighting. Added grain to give everything a similar look. Possible titles: Born Free or Doggie Dreaming.
  15. Brrr...got cold! Messing around with a new "neural filter" (style transfer) in PS plus a "glacial frost" action.
