    Huh!!!

I like this dragon fly.. His stance and expression says he knows that the giant in front of him with camera in hand,  is not going to hurt him..On the other hand he  must be thinking " Why do you want to take a pic of me?" " Let me get back to what I was doing ! ", lol :)

I went to Brazos Bend Park several times in 2009-10 to hike and take photos , I had just gotten my SLR ..Beautiful Park..

I love the colors and the abstract qualities of the flowers in this image ! Antique (Victorian) needle point pictures come to mind  when I see this :)

You have a unique and beautiful portfolio!

I took shot this image this morning :)

We are still in the midst of a terrible heat wave with drought !

My favorite times to be out walking to take in the scenery seem to be at

this time of the morning, and at dusk :) I usually have my camera handy,

    lol..

  1. Thanks Mike! :)

Had an extra long day at work (16+hrs)..I am praying that I will feel like getting up tomorrow morning at crack of dawn( my favorite time of day to be awake if I have had enough sleep, lol).....I want to get shots from this park with a wider angle lens from a different vantage point :)

    I really like this image!

I shot a lot of photos featuring Giraffes those times  I spent during the fall of 2010 visiting the Houston Zoo..If  I knew I had spare time, this was a favorite place for me to visit ! :)

  2. Thanks Mike for the suggestions..

I was very anxious for those few minutes that I was on the seawall, trying to take pics, before I realized that  this shot was going to come out okay...I was thinking that I had ruined my camera and the lens that I had brought with me :/

  3. I got up in time to cross the street with my coffee and camera in hand to sit on a bench on the seawall and wait the 10 minutes or so for the day to get light enough to take these pics..I thought I was going to lose this opportunity to get sunrise pics because my lens kept fogging up :/

  4. I walked along the seawall and enjoyed a breeze and the view.. The late afternoon time of day and the steady windy breeze made this day which was a record hot day much cooler and enjoyable to be out walking.

  5. Mike,

Thank you for your encouraging comment...I shot this from above (wayyy above, lol)

I brought by camera in hopes of getting some portrait shots of some of the performers, including my son's friend Melissa..I wanted to use my 85mm 1.8 lens, but by the time there was an opportunity for me to photograph performers (green room after performance) the crowd of people was too thick for me to find enough room anywhere to get a head and shoulders shot of Melissa ..

The person that attended this event with me,( even though he was forewarned before accepting my invitation), had no patience for giving me a five minutes to shoot pics, lol :/

I love this face... Looks like this gorgeous lady is saying " Is there a treat for me if I model for you?"

Is she the owner of those cute feet (in the other photo that I critiqued) ?

    Best Regards,

    Lisa
