  1. I am considering getting a Pen-F to compliment my M8 & M9. It is easy to find great SLR lenses to fit M 4/3 with an adapter for a tele view. I also have a very good Panasonic 25/1.4 Lux lens, so what is missing is an excellent wide angle prime lens. What do you recommend? 12mm, 14mm, or 17mm ? Budget allows up to $1000 for the lens.
  2. Thanks. This is useful information. I may use my CV 25/4 on the M240 soon.
  3. I bought my SWC a few years after getting an M8 and M9. Why sell the perfect camera?
  4. My M9 is getting a second replacement of the sensor (and board). The new sensor is supposedly less affected by heat and humidity.
  5. I love 50mm lenses, so I have the M3 followed by M6 with .85 viewfinder.
  6. It was a test of the lens. I usually use for portraits a 50mm lens at 2.0-2.8 indoors and at 5.6-8 outdoors.
  7. Using this lens wide open may produce strange looking bokeh that some will like and others will dislike. I am still working on getting images in fcous when using the lens wide open. I will try using the EVF with focus assist 10X to improve my odds ... Else, this lens is a bargain.
  8. I used the 50/1.1 today with a Leica M240. Lens and camera are new to me. I took 250 photos, and I like the way this lens works with the Leica camera. I used the lens mainly with apertures 1.1-2, but I also had to use it at smaller apertures even though ISO was set to 200.
  9. I have a very clean 35/2 with goggles. I bought it in "like new" condition many years ago, and I kept it clean. I also had a 35/2 without goggles, which I traded off towards my M9. The lens is a wonderful lens overall. Why don't you have DAG or someone else clean up and adjust the lens for you first. Then keep the repair receipt, and mention it in the ebay ad.
  10. I use the Summilux 35/1.4 and 75/1.4, and the 75mm lens is too heavy for frequent use. If we extend this to max aperture 1.2, the 75mm lems becomes way too heavy, while the 35mm lens becomes less useful in my opinion die to size and weight.
  11. I used (in Italy) a 5cm/1.5 and a 25mm/1.4 with M 4/3 camera for a 50mm and 100mm crop. It wowked out very well for me.
  12. Thank you for the efforts, Brian. I think that this lens is worth its price. I expect the cost to jump up soon.
  13. ... but how will you take photos with your bag? A camera with a lens would be the better way to go.
  14. I have my set-up planned: Polaroid Land 250 with Fuji 100-C film. It has to be unique for such an event.
  15. Good tips are given here. I suspect it was the lab's fault. Talk to them.
  16. I use such a meter all the time with my Hasselblad SWC and with the Leica M3. It is accurate. I just feel that the meter slips off the accessory shoe too easily for me.
