    Commentary

Hi Jack, an excellent, graphic piece of art - very urban - very cool! Best wishes. Sarah.
  3. Hi Maurizio, this is a beautiful Autumn landscape with great composition, colours, lighting and reflections. Wish I had been there! Best wishes. Sarah.
  4. Hi Maurizio! Thanks for your thoughts - it was nice that I could capture this moment of a fisherman taking a quick break from his hard working day, (wonder what he was thinking about) Best wishes. Sarah.
  5. Hi Patsy, thanks for your thoughts on this - I am learning about different lighting techniques and effects so glad for any feedback. Take care. Sarah.

    Charm of a look

Hi Maurizio, really effective portrait, really like the overall colour palette with her tinted electric blue hair, pink lipstick and the piercing green of her eye, lovely light too. Best wishes. Sarah.
  8. Thanks Maurizio! Best wishes. Sarah.
  9. Hi Alf, back again! I also had a proper look at Houdoor to do a comparison against this one. I recently joined a camera club again (hence my various photographic experiments) and I guess if both were entered into a competition then Houdoor would be the most technically correct in the accepted term but it's this one that I am most drawn to and it really portrays a sense of magic to the place, which makes it unique to you. Best wishes. Sarah.
  10. Hi Alf. What a lovely moment you have captured. The lighting and feeling is magical and so beautifully composed. Just Subscribed to P.N again and missed the fact you were featured member. Congrats (albeit a bit belated) and very well deserved! Really appreciate your help and support with my images over the years and your time given to helping others here on P.N. All the best. Sarah.

    The stork

Hi Chris, this is so well seen and captured. Very different and interesting. Great work! Best wishes. Sarah.
  12. Hi Gregory & Verena. Excellent capture - you have even managed to get wonderful detail out of the red petals. Perfect lighting and exposure IMO. Best wishes. Sarah.

    iceland poppy

Hi John, a beautiful capture of this Poppy and lovely use of light. Just a thought and not sure if this was your intention but there is quite a bit of background noise or possibly you have applied a texture which gives this a bit of a grainy look but it is still a very beautiful capture. Best wishes. Sarah.
  15. Hi Jack, great management of the light. You do have a wonderful knack for finding captures and compositions in the everyday environment! Best wishes. Sarah.

Hi Drew, this looks so simple but such an effective abstract. Love the minimalism and colours! Best wishes. Sarah.

    Untitled

Hi Drew. What a great POV! I could see this hanging on a posh gallery wall in London. Really like the processing too. For me I like how you have used the bar to divide image into two sections. Best wishes. Sarah.
  18. Hi Patsy & Jack. This photo was taken with my Samsung S6 phone and to be honest I didn't hold out much hope for it but it came out better than I thought. For me it was mostly about the fact that people were really enjoying the fair. Glad you both liked it. Best wishes. Sarah.
  19. Hi Patsy, Pleased that you liked the POV and title. That is a very lucky cow (excuse the pun) a lot people would pay good money to live with that view! Hi Jack, it's great that you and Patsy share my sense of humour with this one and I would love to do a humour folder sometime. I find Scott Cromwell's images so funny! I do agree that some photographers are so caught up with the art of perfection that the heart and soul sometimes gets lost from images but even still I cant help but admire the work, talent and technical ability of those photographers and it always makes me realise - I still have a lot to learn! Thanks for your support and encouragement. Best wishes. Sarah

  23. Hi Max, in the UK they call these Cosmos and I really do love these vibrant flowers! You have captured the centre and details beautifully. This image makes me think of Summer! Best wishes. Sarah.

    Antiquity

Hi Patsy, Alf & Jack. I'm learning about B/W as it's something I haven't done much of in the past - did feel that this type of image needed to be B/W or monochrome. Alf - it's the little clock between the branches which is my favourite part of this Church! Best wishes. Sarah.
  25. Hi Jack, I really like the colour palette here with the pink graffiti and the blue cones, again, a really well seen composition! All the best. Sarah.
