1. Where are the images to see ourselves, Marc?
2. "I am always needing to get out shooting more so I can keep more ice cream in the freezer!" -- Eric S. :-) That is perfectly reasonable choice. Viva la Ice Cream!
3. Marc, could you possibly provide offending examples with EXIF data intact? Have you ruled out, or accounted for, exposure problems?
4. Correction: I was thinking of white Chevy with dark red tail light where I rot Studebaker (front) which is actually red. Both of images still were not taken with Sony A700.
5. The only time I have problem with red color (did not look for problem with other colors) is due to light itself (sunrise, light of discontinuous spectrum) and/or over- or underexposure. FWIW, I take images in raw format in "Neutral" mode with -1 or -2 of contrast, saturation, sharpness, etc. to be adjusted later. Here are some (I could not exclude the non-Sony A700 images, so pardon the extraneous images, e.g. the red Chevrolet or the white Studebaker): in particular ... - some blossoms of "red cockspur coral" are overexposed in light of the rising Sun, http://www.flickr.com/photos/bitteralmonds/3255835012/; - tiny bit overexposed red top is the one with female athlete with brace on the left leg, http://www.flickr.com/photos/bitteralmonds/4957507669/; - red foam appears red-orange due to the fluorescent light, http://www.flickr.com/photos/bitteralmonds/3163037084/ ... and, color red seems ok to me of ... - Kia Soul: http://www.flickr.com/photos/bitteralmonds/5320529956/; - cherry: http://www.flickr.com/photos/bitteralmonds/4614600441/; - clothing: http://www.flickr.com/photos/bitteralmonds/4553467029/.

10. William, much appreciated the list of contents. That is a rather spiffy calculator due to the display cover.
11. William, what size of Cannon is that: Rebel, 60D, 7D, 5D, other?
12. I think a pair of people can avoid the singlehood tax under "common law marriage" in USA ... . . . w a i t . . . ... see section "Considered Married" in IRS Publication 17, http://www.irs.gov/publications/p17/ch02.html#en_US_2013_publink1000170745.
13. I use a vertical grip with a camera when I would need to rotate the camera 90 degrees which makes use of the on-camera shutter button inconvenient. Also, when I may possibly need two batteries (using (Sony) grips for Sony A700 & A900) & won't be able to recharge a single one in due time. Given that I use (A700 &) A900, weight balance has not been a problem sans grip (in normal, horizontal position) with Minolta 80-200 mm f/2.8 HS lens, the heaviest lens I have. OTOH, I thanked myself for buying the (Minolta) battery grip for Minolta XTsi (aka 505si Super); that had steadied my hand with both light & heavy lenses (Minolta 70-210 mm f/4 was the heaviest at the time). And when I have the vertical grip, I just keep it attached to the camera regardless.

15. Subtile could quiet possiblee be a pixle manypoolation softwear, unless it was subtle.
16. I am looking for either a shoulder or sling bag (for it has only one strap) to carry large SLR & a big lens (Sony A900 with vertical grip & a 80-200 mm f/2.8 lens mounted with hood reversed) and on-the-ear headphones (Sennheiser Amperior, http:// www.amazon.com/Sennheiser-Amperior-Blue-Headphones/dp/B0070U6N6I) which do not fold. As (1) Lowepro Street & Field Specialist 85 AW (shoulder bag) has the camera storage cavity in the center, so headphones won't fit. I really don't want to carry (2) Lowepro Fastpack 250 (backpack; which will very possibly fit both) as it has a laptop compartment that renders it unnecessarily fat for local city use. It is also too big for only those two items, thus shoving more stuff is too tempting causing it to be heavier. The (3) Lowepro Outback 300 AW has fixed hip straps which I really hate (very tempted to cut off the straps but would cause damn loose threads). Would Think Tank Photo Retrospective 20 or Lowepro Classified (apparently replaced by "Pro Messenger" series) 160 or 180 AW be any more suitable? Would you have any other suggestions?

18.
Last time I tried Sekonic L358 -- a modern (enough) digital incident & reflected light meter; bought barely used one for $ 150 -- under the light of low pressure sodium vapor lamps, it failed to meter for exposure being outside of its range (EV -2 to 22.9). As I was using a digital camera, I used camera's own metered exposure which was adjusted further.
(Note to self: apparently Gossen Luna Pro SBC is sensitive to EV -4 at ISO 100; can "measure to EV -8 with some twiddling". See A light meter for moonlight.)
19. Lex, can one contract cat-pox if bitten by a cat (unless the cat has been de-poxed before hand, I suppose)?
