  1. I'm just mesmerized by the foreground water flow - gives a feeling of actually being in the scene. It took a bit fro my eyes to travel back and enjoy the rest of the image. Well done Alf, David

Many thanks Mike, Marie, & Tony. This was taken at the tail end of a 2 day blizzard - with over a foot of snow fallen. Winter arrived with a vengeance! David

It's a pleasure to discover your portfolio Richard - with so many fine landscapes. This one is otherworldly, (to a Midwestern flatlander). Well done, David

  11. Hi Tony - Yes, it is a somber landscape. Typical during a falling barometer winter event. I thought a b&w image best capture the mood. Best, David
  12. Thanks for visiting Tony. Marie - I'm in West Michigan, about the same latitude as Montreal. I'm sending you more snow . . .
  13. A magical creation Ron - just captivating. Well done, David
  14. Thanks Marie. So - in what part of the world are you? Must be a Northern clime.
  15. Thank you for commenting Radu. Yes, this was a fairly wet snowfall - but now we have a blizzard today with up to 12" dry snow coming by Saturday! Take care, David
  16. Thanks again Mike & Jack. This was after the snow squall passed. It was a new world - but I still had numb fingers:). David
  17. Thanks Mike & Jack.. Yes, sometimes a few numb fingers are wroth it in the end . . . Best, David

A gorgeous jewel in the crown Radu. That halo around the droplet is perfect. Well done, David

    Quiet Expanse

Hi Sarah. A vast, somber landscape - made even more vast by the distant figure. A very pleasing image to me. I perhaps would like to see a bit more contrast/detail in the sky. Many digital cameras have difficulty separating very light and dark areas cleanly - especially at horizons. Suggest blending, cloning, or patching the halo with a small soft brush, (don't know what software you use, but Adobe Lightroom or Photoshop will do this fairly easily). Best, David
  24. Radu, Sarah, & Jack - thanks very much for your comments. Pleased you like this one. David
