    The Compleat Angler

Hi all - thanks, and glad to provide a bit of levity. Dogs can be endlessly entertaining! Marie - alas no luck this time, but he's caught some pretty good size fish in the past. Sam - yes, they're a great breed. Hope you get another soon. Radu - Hans is a good swimmer, but unlike Sasha, his short coat wont let him stay in cold water long. Best, David

    River of Ice

Gentlemen & Lady - thanks much!   Although our snow is temporarily gone - the lakes are still frozen, allowing suitably wintery pictures. Best, David

  8. Thanks Mike. Have not shot this boat before - just discovered in an old farmyard "boneyard", with all sorts of interesting abandoned things. Have no idea why this farmer had a lifeboat - perhaps his wife wanted to plant a lot of petunias . . . Thanks Radu. Yes, it was 60F today - unbelievable for January. I'm concerned some bulbs, buds, etc. will open if it does not return to normal soon. Best, David

Thanks Marie & Mike. (Mike - I'm a bit, ahem - asymmetrical myself:)

    Blue Window

Thanks Jack, Wayne, & Tony - so pleased you like it. The pastel colors are what drew me to this old house window at first, but I found the composition difficult with all those horizontal and vertical lines, (nothing was plumb and square anymore!). Best, David

Thank you all very much for your positive remarks. Much appreciated! (Mike, Eli chickened out and backed out of there shortly after this photo). Best, David

    Windsong II

A delicate, ephemeral rendering Sarah. I too like the position of the flower within the frame. Well done, David

Eli considers a way forward across a washed out beaver dam - with a battered but living Cherry tree in the background. Thoughts appreciated, David
