Excellent image that depicts your Title so well. Here in Canada unfortunately we are bombarded with it all on a daily basis and it is affecting our lives tremendously. There has to come a time when Common Sense and Humanity prevail - keep telling myself it just can't be 'real'. Build a wall but against what or who ?? I noticed the grate to a Sewer near the wall.........maybe it will act as a sieve to hold onto what we once knew as real and good - and let the flotsam and all that is gnarly go down into the darkness. Obviously I have no answers. We are sharing the extremely cold temperatures that are in the U.S. right now, darn right freezing but I cannot complain - still have a home against the winds that blow so fiercely outside my office window - I am blessed. But that wind reminds me of the Political Climate that is so unstable. Makes me long for the days when I was just a kid - times seemed so simpler then. I hope things are better where you live Jack. One thing remains constant - your excellent, sharp and clear images. Bravo !

I almost thought you were behind what I perceive as a wall and wanted to desperately tell you I'd rescue you if I could !! A bit of trickery and you are looking into a Mirror - clever !!! I think you describe many of us.......for sure a bit of me. Have not been sure where to be for awhile - but no alarms.....life just gets too busy with flotsam we never ask for. Thankfully by now I've maintained some of the skills to stay above it all ! Cheers to you Jack. Good to see you !

I could easily sit in what I would call a courtyard and enjoy this view - there is some comfort I find in this image. A mix of life within nature - the tree in the foreground attempting to survive despite the season, the other tree - baring itself and 'telling' it's story. We are all a mix of old and renew, firm and debris ........ yet we look to the light for comfort and repose. Beautiful Daniel.

I like the result of this effect on this image Holger. I have never been very good at it but here you've managed to make it artistic AND believable. Well done ! ( I am sorry if I haven't commented on the most recent - having trouble finding them but that could be how PN is set up Holger - hope all is fine with you my friend)

Hi Jack, I hope to be online here more. Computer problems have kept me away - still admit I have trouble finding my way about here - but do miss everyone. Many thanks for your thoughts on this one. Basically rescued a photo that was a 'throw away' and with the help of textures and I also used some Photoshop brushes to add more interest - ended up with an Abstract that pleased me enough. Hope all is good overseas - good to hear from you.

Hi Antony - good eye ! I was doing some still life shots and was very close to some bright natural light from living room window. The image was 'blown' but the 'left overs' were rather interesting. I used a texture or two in order to complete my intent which was an Abstract. But you got the 'key' right !! I hope you are doing well my friend !!

I wish I did not have such a difficult time on this site - I am sure if I was online more I would get the hang of it. I do miss seeing your work my dear friend. I do LOVE your water droplet images and want to mention a man that does magnificent Macro Photography who lives in a small city not all that far from me. I just discovered him last week. There are many U-Tube Videos where he talks about how he arrives at the 'end result'. He explains on his Website how he does each one. He is a young and very pleasant man; smart and inventive - and eagerly shares what he knows. His name is Don Komarechka and does mostly Macro Photography. You can find him at www.donkom.ca - I am sure you will be enthralled with his images and workflow Radu.
